Tutu Tuesday in Le Plessis-Bouchard, ÃŽle-de-France, France #tututuesday G'day, dance lovers! This Aussie ballerina is on the move again, and this time, I've found myself in the charming town of Le Plessis-Bouchard, tucked away in the ÃŽle-de-France region of France. This week's #TutuTuesday takes on a distinctly French flavour, and let me tell you, it's been a whirlwind of twirls, tulle, and tonnes of cultural immersion. Now, you know I love a good tutu. It's a symbol of elegance, power, and let's be honest, pure fun. I'm obsessed with the variations - the fluffy romantic tutu, the sleek and sophisticated modern tutu, the dramatic pointe shoes peeking out, the way it catches the light. In Le Plessis-Bouchard, I'm absolutely loving the Parisian vibe, which makes the classic French style tutu a total must-have. Ballet in France: A Deeper Dive You can't talk about tutu's and France without diving into their rich history. Ballet has been a part of French culture for centuries, from the elegant court dances of the aristocracy to the grand ballets of the Parisian Opera. I've been lucky enough to take in a couple of performances here in the region - the ballet companies here are fantastic and the passion for dance is infectious. I saw a traditional version of Swan Lake that blew my mind, it was so incredibly powerful. There was also a more modern contemporary performance that was just as mesmerising - the way these dancers move, their expression, it's truly an art form. I just can't get enough of it! **Local Ballet Scene** I couldn't come to France without experiencing the local ballet scene, so I signed up for a workshop at a beautiful little studio in Le Plessis-Bouchard. The atmosphere was amazing - you can tell these dancers absolutely love their art, they were all so graceful and welcoming. I learned a lot about their technique, the difference between the French style of ballet and how it differs to what we do back in Australia. I even got to don a tutu, albeit a less grand and more "practice" version. The studio had the coolest little selection of tutus - all the different colours, shapes, and even some that would definitely need a bigger stage. I even got to try out some different kinds of tutus – some with lots of layers of tulle, some shorter and simpler, and some that had more of a contemporary look. **Tutu Tuesday in Le Plessis-Bouchard #tututuesday** And let me tell you, you guys are in for a treat because my photos from Le Plessis-Bouchard are absolutely stunning - imagine me with a classic French-style tutu with soft pastel hues, in a dreamy garden in Le Plessis-Bouchard - you have to see it. It really felt like I was stepping out of a fairytale. It was the perfect way to celebrate Tutu Tuesday! I can't recommend exploring this little town enough. There's a beautiful sense of calm and tranquility. And the people are friendly and welcoming, so there is plenty of inspiration for my dance moves! I've found a lot of inspiration here, the streets of Le Plessis-Bouchard - so many historical buildings with gorgeous gardens and elegant fountains. They just add to that unique Parisian touch, it's the kind of place that makes me want to keep my dancing shoes on. I also discovered this adorable little boutique where they sell all things ballet, it was a total dream. They had tutus, shoes, leotards - everything a ballerina could need. You guys know I couldn't resist trying on some fabulous creations, so, I even added some pieces to my collection! And just a heads up – my Insta-stories have some hilarious, totally in-the-moment glimpses. You need to check them out. French Chic #tututuesday For me, a tutu isn't just a garment, it’s an expression. I love how the graceful swish and flutter of a tutu, evokes so many emotions - it's light and playful but can be dramatic and expressive too - you can totally rock a tutu from the stage to the streets. It's just amazing. And here in Le Plessis-Bouchard, the Parisian vibe and French fashion scene just really amplifies that for me. Le Plessis-Bouchard is also famous for its beautiful botanical gardens. They're absolutely stunning, and they were the perfect backdrop for a couple of more tutu shots. It was a day filled with a total ballet bliss - think beautiful greenery, sunshine and dancing in a tutu. You can check them out on my feed! Well, I'm off to explore more of the area, but Le Plessis-Bouchard will forever hold a special place in my tutu-loving heart. Ciao for now!
