Tutu Tuesday in Waziers, Hauts-de-France, France #tututuesday

G'day lovelies! I'm here in the charming city of Waziers, nestled in the Hauts-de-France region of France, and I'm feeling positively chuffed to be celebrating Tutu Tuesday in this delightful little corner of the world. Now, you know I'm a bit of a tutu fanatic โ€“ there's just something about that twirling fabric that makes me feel like a princess!

For this Tutu Tuesday, I wanted to do something a little different, something that truly embraced the Parisian vibe while showcasing my love for the traditional beauty of ballet. So, I popped into a local ballet studio and โ€“ spoiler alert! โ€“ they welcomed me with open arms! Talk about French hospitality!

It turns out the studio has a rich history, fostering a love for ballet for generations in Waziers. The teacher, Madame Dubois, shared stories about local dancers who've graced the stages of Paris and beyond, inspiring young girls and boys to chase their dreams. The studio itself was bursting with personality โ€“ I was surrounded by vintage tutus in all shapes and sizes. There were romantic tulle tutus, classical satin ones, and even a couple of modern designs that I couldn't resist trying on!

Let's chat about tutus:

  • The Romantic Tutus: You know, the ones that make you feel like you're waltzing in a fairytale. These beauties have layers of delicate tulle that float around you as you dance, making them perfect for grand ballets.
  • The Classical Tutus: These stunners are typically made of satin, offering a streamlined and elegant silhouette. They're all about the precision of classical ballet and embody a sense of sophistication.
  • The Modern Tutus: Oh boy, are these bold and adventurous! From asymmetrical designs to playful layers of fabric, these tutus are pushing the boundaries of what we think of when it comes to the traditional ballerina costume.

The whole experience was absolutely divine, and it got me thinking: while we all know about the ballet scene in Paris, there's a whole other world of dance talent blossoming across the country. Waziers, for instance, seems to be a hub for dance, and it reminded me just how many untold stories and incredible dancers are out there. So, if you ever find yourself in this lovely corner of France, be sure to drop by and see the talent for yourself!

For those of you not in Waziers, get ready to embrace your inner ballerina with #tututuesday! Post pics of yourself rocking your favorite tutu โ€“ whether it's for a ballet class, a fancy dress party, or simply a fun photoshoot around town.
