Tutu Tuesday in Neuves-Maisons, Grand Est, France #tututuesday

G’day, darlings! Your favourite Aussie ballerina is back, and this time I'm bringing the magic of #tututuesday to the charming town of Neuves-Maisons in the Grand Est region of France. I'm so excited to share with you the enchanting world of ballet in this beautiful corner of France.

Neuves-Maisons is known for its rich industrial history, but did you know that it also boasts a thriving arts scene? Yes, believe it or not, this lovely town has a ballet school that's been nurturing the next generation of ballerinas and danseurs for years! And let me tell ya, the students here are absolutely smashing it.

But let’s talk tutus! The ballet students here in Neuves-Maisons have been loving experimenting with different tutu styles - it's just divine to see how the different shapes and textures add to the elegance and artistry of their performances. From classic romantic tutus with their fluffy, billowing layers, to the sleek and contemporary styles, they’re pulling off every look with effortless grace.

So, where did I find this little gem of a ballet school in the middle of Neuves-Maisons?

  • The studio is tucked away on a quiet street just a short stroll from the main square.
  • The windows of the studio have a view of a beautiful garden and that brings a little bit of the magic of the outside into the dance space. It's the kind of place where you feel the positive energy just as soon as you walk in the door.
  • The little courtyard in front of the studio is always buzzing with parents picking up and dropping off their little dance stars - there's always a little bit of joyful chaos there which is really great.

Speaking of the outside world, did you know that France has a rich history with ballet? You can't visit a place like Paris without soaking up all that artistic energy! The city's Opera House is like a ballet Mecca, where iconic dancers have graced the stage for centuries, and just a stroll around the city lets you discover a world of ballet-related galleries and art shops that keep the magic alive. It’s really special to see the way the Parisian culture embraced ballet, but it was fascinating to see the love of ballet blossoming in the little town of Neuves-Maisons. The energy of the dance world really shines through in this charming town.

I'm totally digging this new style of tutu they're trying out over in Neuves-Maisons. You have to try this, babes! The studio has a great class schedule. You can even snag one of the lovely handmade tutus at their little shop there and find all sorts of things for your ballerina and dance look.

For me, ballet is a lot about embracing who you are and not being afraid to show your true self! The beauty of it all is that it doesn't matter if you're a seasoned ballerina or just taking your first steps - the grace and strength you gain through dance can transform you. And who doesn’t love wearing a stunning tutu? They are like a magical garment!

Stay tuned for my next adventures as I explore the beautiful ballet world. There’s so much to learn and discover and so many talented artists to be inspired by. I’ll be updating my social media throughout the trip – make sure you're following me to see all the latest happenings!

Sending all my love to my darlings, wherever you are! xx
