Tutu Tuesday in Jacob-Bellecombette, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France: #tututuesday

G'day, lovelies! It's your favourite Aussie ballerina, Chloe here, back with another post for my blog, "Chloe's Tutu Tales." This week I'm taking you on a delightful adventure to Jacob-Bellecombette, a charming town nestled in the heart of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. Now, as you all know, I have a soft spot for all things tutus, and I couldn't resist taking advantage of this week's #tututuesday to share some Parisian style inspiration with you all.

Before we get into the tutu action, let me tell you a bit about this delightful town. Jacob-Bellecombette is known for its rich history and beautiful surroundings. It's got the most charming cobblestone streets, quaint cafes, and stunning mountain vistas. I actually found myself completely enchanted by the local ballet scene in Jacob-Bellecombette! They're known for their contemporary style, which, funnily enough, blends elements of Australian ballet, but with a distinctly French flair.

Anyway, on to the tutus! Jacob-Bellecombette was absolutely bursting with inspiration for #tututuesday, giving me all the feels, especially when it came to exploring the classic French style of tutu. Imagine these super chic and stylish ballet tutus with elegant lines and lots of airy chiffon. It was like a dream come true! They're very different from the tutus I’m used to back home in Sydney, which are known for their a little bit of sparkle and the boldness of a brighter colour palate.

Here are my top tutu picks from the trip, all totally #tututuesday worthy!

  • **The Classic Romantic Tutu:** I found the perfect one while window shopping at a little boutique tucked away on a charming cobblestone side street. This one had a graceful, almost ethereal quality to it. Picture delicate tulle layers that cascade downwards with an elegant romantic silhouette and a dusting of sparkly sequins, just enough to make it a little magical.
  • **The Modern Parisian Chic Tutu:** Okay, this one's all about modern French fashion, and I fell head over heels for it in a small ballet studio where I had the absolute joy of watching a class. The colour palette, mainly a striking charcoal black and chic blush pink with some very subtle accents of metallic, it made for a look that was both sleek and incredibly elegant.
  • **The Vintage Ballet Tutu:** In a cute antique shop, I came across a tutu from the 1960s – you could tell it was vintage just by looking at the intricate embroidery and the fine quality tulle, This piece exuded an almost magical kind of beauty.

The shops here in Jacob-Bellecombette are truly something special – every window I passed featured a gorgeous array of ballet gear and accessories! It made shopping for the perfect tutu, not only a fun experience but it turned the streets into a ballet-inspired runway! I even found the perfect Parisian beret to top off the look - what a find! Oh, and by the way, the French bakery right near my hotel – let’s just say their pastries inspired a little "sweet treat" photoshoot of my favourite tulle find, that classic romantic one! You’ll be seeing those photos on my Instagram this week!

Jacob-Bellecombette, you've truly stolen my heart – not just because of the ballet but also because the city’s energy has a certain sparkle to it. I can't wait to return to explore this captivating town more and see what fashion gems I can find, especially when it comes to tutus! Keep an eye out for more Parisian fashion fun coming up next week, where I'll be giving you the lowdown on all the must-have items for every ballerina's wardrobe.

Until then, stay fabulous and embrace your inner tutu love! #tututuesday #ballet #france #Jacob-Bellecombette #Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes
