Tutu Tuesday in Valras-Plage, Occitanie, France #tututuesday

G'day, lovelies! It's your girl, Chloe here, fresh off the plane and ready to share some major fashion inspo with you. Today we're in Valras-Plage, Occitanie, France. Now, you know I'm always on the lookout for new trends, and I gotta say, I'm loving the vibes here. They're just so... *chic*!

So, you might be asking, why France? Well, it's no secret that France is a hotbed for all things ballet, and Valras-Plage is no exception. I stumbled upon the cutest little ballet studio nestled in a quaint street, just off the beachfront. The aroma of sweat and rosin, that magical scent of a dancer's world, filled the air, and I just had to go in.

As soon as I stepped through the door, I was surrounded by the most incredible tutus you could ever imagine. There were traditional white tutus, with fluffy, ethereal layers, sparkly tutus that looked like they were made from stardust, and even some super modern designs, with interesting cuts and colours. You wouldn't believe the craftsmanship. These weren't your mass-produced costumes, they were bespoke works of art.

Imagine a classic "Romantic" tutu in a pale pink, made from the most delicate silk, adorned with dainty sequins. Then there was the "Polonaise" tutu, its shorter, flirty length accentuating every move with a bold flourish, while still keeping it classy. But what really stole the show were these vibrant, multi-coloured "contemporary" tutus. You've got to hand it to the French, they really do know how to make a tutu with a statement!

There I was, in a paradise of ballet fashion, when BAM! Right in front of me was a local dancer doing her barre. Talk about lucky! This little gem of a girl, she was amazing. It wasn't even a formal ballet class, just her doing a bit of practice in this gorgeous studio. She moved with such elegance and grace. And her "Tutu Wednesday" outfit? Oh my God! It was a beautiful, ethereal design that would make a fairy blush, with layers and layers of flowing tulle. Every movement she made seemed to transform the studio into a wonderland. It reminded me of all the times I'd dreamed of becoming a dancer like the amazing ballerinas I'd watched at the Opéra Garnier.

As a ballerina, my heart skips a beat at the mere sight of a tutu. There's something so iconic, so powerful about this garment. There are just no two tutus the same - the material, the style, the colours are endless. They transform the dancer, and with every twirl and leap, they just seem to float on air. That's the beauty of the tutu: a symphony of artistry, skill, and timeless charm. They never go out of style and they're guaranteed to add that extra touch of glam to any look.

I grabbed some cheeky shots of the beautiful dancer in her "Tutu Wednesday" costume. You can find them on my Instagram feed, because honestly, you need to see this for yourself. Trust me, it's like magic!

In Valras-Plage, I was really lucky to stumble upon such a special place, a sanctuary of artistry and inspiration, nestled amidst the stunning coastal charm of Occitanie. It reminded me, yet again, why I love France - the way they celebrate culture and the art of ballet.

And until next time, remember: it's never too late to embrace the elegance of the tutu. Who knows, maybe even in your own home town.

Catch you all soon! XOXO

Chloe, from the land of sunburnt country and dream tutus.
