Tutu Tuesday in Beachmere, Queensland #tututuesday

G'day, lovelies! It's your girl, Ellie here, coming to you live from the sun-kissed shores of Beachmere, Queensland. I'm so stoked to be bringing you a special #tututuesday blog post all about the incredible tutus that have graced the stage and inspired our hearts. Let's get straight into it!

You guys know how much I love tutus! There's just something about that swishy, whimsical tulle that gets my heart going. It's like stepping into a world of magic and fantasy ā€“ and for a ballerina, what's better than feeling like a fairy princess on stage?

This week, I'm all about the **classic, romantic tutu**. Think flowing layers of soft tulle, carefully stitched and meticulously shaped. These tutus are the epitome of grace and elegance ā€“ perfect for a classical ballet like Swan Lake or Giselle. I can picture myself pirouetting and soaring across the stage in one of these beauties. And let's not forget about the romantic, flowing skirts, giving an enchanting quality to every twirl and leap!

Speaking of twirling, have you ever tried a **'bouffon' style tutu?** Those puffed-up tulle skirts add such a vibrant and cheeky personality! They make every turn a burst of playful colour and give that mischievous feel thatā€™s so common in character dancing. Iā€™m talking about those dazzling variations with high-kicks and plenty of joie de vivre! These are fantastically fun to perform with and are great for a more theatrical performance.

Now, let's talk about those *iconic tutus* that have made history in ballet in Australia. Itā€™s got to be the **ā€œA Midsummer Nightā€™s Dreamā€ tutu**, a magical dream. Imagine swirling on stage as one of the fairies ā€“ what a moment! It's simply ethereal and enchanting.

Speaking of iconic, one canā€™t forget the **Australian Balletā€™s version of ā€œCoppĆ©liaā€**. Thereā€™s something very special about seeing the beauty of the Swan Lake tutus worn by the talented ballerinas in our beloved Australian Ballet. And speaking of beauty, what about the dreamy elegance of the **"Giselle" tutus** ā€“ every romantic tutu brings an essence of poetry into a performance, giving a dreamy and fairytale feel to the dance!

One of my favourite things about being a ballet dancer in Australia is that there's such a vibrant and diverse dance community here. From the glitzy stages of the Australian Ballet to the more intimate performances of independent companies and community groups, the passion for dance is palpable everywhere.

For me, the best part of #tututuesday is seeing the creativity of everyone else on social media. Every week, there's a wave of beautiful #tututuesday pics, featuring tutus of all shapes, sizes, and styles. You know itā€™s a fantastic celebration of dance in its most dazzling form. From tutu-clad dance enthusiasts in Queenslandā€™s golden sands to dancers of all styles in cities like Melbourne and Sydney, #tututuesday truly brings us all together! Itā€™s wonderful to be able to celebrate dance across the nation ā€“ every week, every month and, well, every year, #tututuesday always inspires!

And who knows? Maybe one day you'll be on my next post here! Just remember: always wear your tutu with confidence, lovelies! After all, thereā€™s nothing more inspiring than a girl in a tutu!

Until next time, stay fabulous!

Love,

Ellie x
