Tutu Tuesday in Bullsbrook, Western Australia - #tututuesday G'day lovelies! It's your girl, Amelia, back with another installment of Tutu Tuesday. I'm so excited to share some tutu-tastic news from the land down under! Today, we're in Bullsbrook, Western Australia. It's such a vibrant community, and I'm loving the chance to spread some ballet-inspired joy. So, what's going on with Tutu Tuesday in Bullsbrook? First, I'm thrilled to see that ballet is really blossoming in this neck of the woods! I had the chance to check out the Bullsbrook Ballet Academy, and you know what? It's like a ballet haven out here. They have so much talent, with students ranging from tiny tots to teens, all gracefully moving to the rhythm of the music. I got a real feel for the love and passion these dancers have, it was truly inspiring!
Speaking of talent, the Academy held an open day on Saturday, and boy oh boy, it was such a spectacle. From graceful classical pieces to dynamic contemporary routines, the dancers stole the show. And, the costumes! The dancers were decked out in all the tutu glory. We're talking classic romantic tutus for the Swan Lake routines, sassy contemporary tutus with all the layering and fringing you could imagine, and, of course, those majestic classical tutus – those white ones that just float when they twirl.
Here are some things I discovered about the Bullsbrook ballet scene:
* **Diverse tutus are in!** It was great to see so many different styles. You know, tutus aren't just one size fits all anymore. They come in all shapes, colors and materials, expressing each style of ballet uniquely. It’s so much fun to see this expression!
* **Support is high:** The support from the community was absolutely heart-warming. The classes and the open day were packed, with families cheering their hearts out. It's amazing to see this community so connected to the arts.
* **The next generation:** You know I just love it when I see budding ballet dancers. I saw this little girl, she couldn't have been more than five years old, already owning those "grand jetés". I swear she was on the stage in her tutu doing those impressive jumps, and it was just absolutely delightful! The next generation of Australian ballet stars, right there in Bullsbrook. It really fills my heart with joy to witness the passion for the art form burning so brightly in the youngest generation.
And what did I wear for my visit to Bullsbrook? Well, I definitely embraced the tutu vibe. Let's just say my choice of outfit definitely turned heads!
* **Pink, fluffy, and oh-so-adorable:** I went with a vibrant pink tutu – gotta be pink, right?! It was so soft and fluffy, like a cloud. It felt like I was twirling in a bubble of pure happiness. I also paired it with a simple black top, just to tone down the pink and allow the tutu to take center stage.
* **Classic chic:** But I’m also obsessed with this white, long, romantic tutu, like one you see in those Swan Lake scenes. Imagine that, all the tutus that embody those classic, romantic storylines, with those gorgeous ruffles! They always give me such elegance, and they always remind me of the rich history of ballet.
* **Fashion statement:** But my go-to tutu? It’s my short, playful contemporary tutu. We’re talking black velvet with an asymmetrical fringe. So, it's modern and sassy, with that beautiful flow as you twirl. I even added a cool pair of platform sneakers for some serious street cred!
I’m so grateful that ballet is such a cherished art form here in Australia, especially out here in Bullsbrook! So much passion, so much joy. And that’s what makes me dance, loves.
