Tutu Tuesday in Thirlmere, New South Wales: A Celebration of Whimsy and Grace
Hey gorgeous dance lovers, it’s your girl, Amelia, back with another post. I can't believe it's Tutu Tuesday already! This week, we're taking things to a whole new level by ditching the studio and hitting the streets of Thirlmere, New South Wales. This magical little town in the heart of the Macarthur region has some seriously beautiful backdrops and some seriously stylish locals - perfect for spreading some tutu magic.
Let me tell you, Thirlmere really is the perfect location for a Tutu Tuesday photoshoot. We started at Thirlmere Lakes - the crystal-clear water and stunning trees make for a seriously picturesque background for our tutus. I rocked a classic white tulle tutu that’s both elegant and whimsical. Then we hit the Thirlmere Village Green - it’s a quintessential country town park. It’s got rolling hills, the famous fig tree, and the prettiest picket fence ever! I changed into a pink, multi-layered tutu that was all about fluidity and volume, just perfect for swirling and twirling on the grass. And I absolutely loved it! You girls know I'm all about playing with texture, and this tutu definitely delivers on that front.
We did a photoshoot at the historic Thirlmere Post Office too, it’s like stepping back in time. The ornate brickwork and the lush, emerald gardens create this kind of fairytale-like backdrop. This is when I busted out the dramatic black tulle tutu. The sheer, dramatic layers, they really captured the Victorian-era essence of this charming post office! This shoot was about more than just strutting around in my best tutu. I was out to spread some much-needed joy! We definitely put on a show for the locals!
I don’t know about you guys, but a tutu, that’s pretty much a guaranteed mood boost! Tutu Tuesday is a way for us dance lovers to show off our passion, even outside the dance studio. So tell me, how have you been rocking your tutu love on Tutu Tuesdays?

To be honest, dancing in Australia has never felt so alive! Our local community is incredibly supportive of ballet and all things artsy! I love that, and Tutu Tuesday gives me a great platform to show it off!
