Tutu Tuesday in Huntly, Victoria: A Whirlwind of Tutu Love and Fashion #tututuesday

G’day, fashionistas! It's your girl, Ava, back with another dazzling instalment of my Tutu Tuesday adventures! Today, we're taking a trip down to the picturesque town of Huntly, Victoria, to explore the tutu scene and discover what makes this town a real tutu haven. Let me tell you, this little corner of Victoria has some seriously stylish ballet enthusiasts!

For the uninitiated, Tutu Tuesday is a celebration of all things tutu. It’s a chance to wear those iconic garments – the symbol of elegance and grace - and embrace the joyful spirit of ballet, even if you're not a professional dancer. Whether you’re rocking a classic romantic tutu or a bold contemporary piece, it’s all about showcasing your individual style and love for dance. And Huntly, Victoria, has really embraced this whimsical day!

So, where did I go first? Well, I just had to head over to the *Huntly Community Centre* – the beating heart of all things cultural in this charming town. They had an incredible “Tutu Runway Show” – think of it like a mini fashion show – featuring locals from all ages rocking their tutu finest! I swear, the smiles were brighter than the sparkles on those tutus. There were some stunning styles on display, from classic **tulle romantic tutus**, which I think are so elegant with their long, flowing lines, to the more **contemporary, fitted tutus** that oozed boldness.

But you know, what really stole my heart was the sheer variety of styles on show. We’re talking tutus that could grace the stage of the *Australian Ballet*, alongside handmade tutus with playful patterns and bright colours, clearly bursting with personal expression and DIY spirit. And then there were some real eye-catching pieces made entirely out of recycled materials, demonstrating that eco-fashion can be utterly glamorous!

I have to say, it’s heartening to see this much passion for dance and creativity within a local community. Huntly really puts on a fantastic display of unity and a shared love for all things tutu. But let’s face it – it wouldn't be Tutu Tuesday without a bit of yummy treats. And Huntly delivered on that front too! There was a scrumptious *Tutu Tea Party* at the *Huntly Village Hall*, filled with delightful goodies like fairy cakes decorated with miniature tutus and lavender tea – a sweet tribute to all those tutus. The tables were draped in gorgeous fabric reminiscent of tutu swirls, with charming bouquets of pink roses and carnations adding to the delicate theme.

I truly feel so lucky to have experienced this. You see, I’ve been living and breathing ballet since I was a kid in *Melbourne*. It’s been a lifelong passion and something I’ve been incredibly grateful for. I have vivid memories of dancing in my grandmother's vintage tutus, imagining myself onstage at the *Australian Ballet* as I pirouetted around the lounge room. So, events like Tutu Tuesday are more than just a fashion spectacle for me – they’re a reminder of why I fell in love with this beautiful art form.

If you're in the *Melbourne* area and looking for a truly unique experience, I highly recommend making your way to Huntly on a Tutu Tuesday. This is a town that’s full of genuine heart and welcomes everyone, whether they're a tutu newbie or a seasoned pro! So, keep those eyes peeled for more tutu action, because next week, I'm heading to a fabulous tutu-themed workshop in *Coburg*, so stay tuned.
