Tutu Tuesday in Saint Arnaud, Victoria: A Tutu-tastic Adventure

Hey lovelies! It's your girl, Anya, here, back with another #tututuesday adventure. This week, I took my tulle-loving self all the way to Saint Arnaud, Victoria. You know how much I adore a good road trip, especially when it involves a reason to bust out my favourite tutus. So, gather 'round, darlings, because it's time to take a peek at what went down!

I decided to go with a classic, **romantic tutu** this time, perfect for twirling under the wide-open Victorian skies. A beautiful, soft pink, with layers and layers of delicate netting – it just screams ballerina magic. I paired it with a comfy knit cardigan (the weather in the country can get a bit nippy even in the summer) and my trusty ankle boots. Let's face it, these feet have seen better days after a performance, so I needed some comfy support! But, no worries, the boots just added a touch of cool to the whole look.

Saint Arnaud is this quaint, sleepy town nestled in the heart of the Wimmera. Think rolling hills, charming pubs, and more sheep than you can shake a tutu at! Honestly, it was a perfect backdrop for a bit of Tutu Tuesday shenanigans. The locals, bless their cotton socks, were just the loveliest. Everyone I met was so curious about the tutu, eager to share their stories of local ballet events – even the blokes in the pub got a chuckle out of it!

Now, here’s the best part. Right across from the iconic Saint Arnaud Hotel is a glorious park, perfect for showcasing this tulle wonder. The trees, all golden brown in their autumn finery, created this beautiful, natural frame around me as I pirouetted, feeling like I'd stepped out of a classic ballet. It's amazing how even in the smallest towns, you find these little hidden gems, and Saint Arnaud was truly a treasure! The peace and quiet was divine – a far cry from the hustle and bustle of city life. Just me, the trees, and my tulle, letting loose under the Victorian sun!

But my adventure didn't stop at the park. I swung by the local bakery – gotta fuel that twirling – and guess what? They had the most divine raspberry tarts, a true Victorian delight. Then, a visit to the Saint Arnaud Craft Market, which, for me, was pure Tutu Tuesday gold! The local artisans there were absolutely amazing, so much passion poured into every hand-crafted piece! I picked up a stunning ceramic planter, perfect for my ballerina collection (I can't just have one tutu!).

The day flew by in a whirlwind of twirls, smiles, and delightful local experiences. It just goes to show you don't have to be in the city centre to embrace the ballet spirit! Saint Arnaud proved that ballet is alive and well in every corner of Australia, waiting to be discovered.

Here are my top highlights from Tutu Tuesday in Saint Arnaud:

  • The sheer delight of spreading the ballet love beyond the big city.
  • The friendly locals and their heartwarming stories about ballet in the Wimmera.
  • The stunning scenery and natural beauty of the town.
  • Those divine raspberry tarts!

Now, lovelies, if you’re thinking of a day trip that will tickle your fancy, make a beeline to Saint Arnaud, Victoria. It's a town that’ll warm your heart and give your tutu a whirl for the ages. And if you’re brave enough to rock your own tutu while you're at it, I salute you. Let’s make the whole country a Tutu Tuesday paradise! Don’t forget to snap some pics and share them with the hashtag #tututuesday, I wanna see your adventures!

Until next week, stay sparkly and twirl on!
