Tutu Tuesday in Lismore Heights, New South Wales, Australia #tututuesday
Gā€™day, fellow fashionistas! It's your girl, Tilly, back with another #tututuesday post, and this week we're taking the tutu trend to the streets of Lismore Heights, NSW! I know what youā€™re thinking: ā€œTutus? In Lismore Heights? Seriously?ā€ But hear me out. Lismore Heights is this amazing little corner of the world. Sure, itā€™s got its fair share of bushland and a decent pub. But it's also brimming with personality. And if thereā€™s one thing I love, it's a place thatā€™s got its own vibe. So, how do we make tutus work for everyday wear, you ask? Let me tell you. This week, I'm sporting a **short tutu, in a vibrant coral color, paired with a crisp white t-shirt and chunky black sneakers**. The result is totally sassy, just the right amount of whimsy, and utterly comfortable for navigating the streets. Now, letā€™s talk about the tutu itself. I mean, a **classic ballerina tutu with several layers of soft tulle and a sparkly waistband** would be epic, right? But letā€™s keep it real ā€“ it would be pretty darn impractical. Especially on a Tuesday. Thatā€™s why I'm **going with a more pared-back look**. I opted for **a single-layered tulle tutu that sits high on the hips**, giving off those effortless ballerina vibes, but not overwhelming the overall look. Itā€™s important to be realistic with how we can interpret trends for everyday life. That's where the styling gets creative! Donā€™t be afraid to **pair your tutu with other non-traditional pieces. A black leather jacket or a oversized knit sweater** could totally rock the look. Iā€™m also a huge fan of **layering with chunky necklaces or earrings**, which adds that edgy element, taking you from the ballet studio to the cafe down the road. As always, remember that **the beauty of fashion is in personal expression. Rock it, own it, and embrace your inner ballerina!** And while Iā€™m talking about ballet, how amazing is the ballet scene in Australia?! From Sydneyā€™s iconic Australian Ballet to smaller regional troupes, like the Lismore Dance Academy, we're blessed with a thriving dance culture. In fact, did you know that Lismore Heights boasts one of the largest concentrations of professional ballerinas in the whole state of New South Wales? Go on, get yourself to a ballet show - your heart (and your feet!) will thank you for it! Now, where else can you **embrace the tutus in this fabulous little town?** * The **Lismore Heights Farmers Market** is where you'll find everything from local produce to handmade crafts. You're sure to find the perfect accessories for your #tututuesday ensemble. * Feeling brave? Put your tutu on and head to the **Lismore Heights Bakery** ā€“ itā€™s one of my favorite places to go on a Wednesday for a delicious latte and a giant cinnamon roll. * And letā€™s not forget about **The Lismore Heights Arts Centre.** With art exhibitions, dance performances, and workshops, there's always something going on. A tutu is always appropriate, just saying.
Donā€™t be afraid to **get creative and express yourself**. Now go out there, Lismore Heights, and embrace your inner tutu queen! And don't forget to **share your #tututuesday looks** with me on Insta. Til next week, darling.
Tilly xo
