Today's theme is all about Tutu Tuesday in Evandale, Tasmania. You know I'm a big fan of the traditional tutu. Those floaty layers of tulle, that graceful sweep... there's nothing like the feeling of spinning in one on stage! But sometimes, you've just got to mix it up! Today's adventure has led me to Evandale, a picturesque little town in Tasmania. It's bursting with history and charm. You could spend a whole afternoon wandering around the antique shops and cafes. But I had my heart set on something special: finding the perfect Tutu Tuesday outfit. **A Stroll Through Evandale's Style Scene** Let's just say, Evandale has its own unique sense of style. There's a mix of old and new, but what truly makes it stand out are the vintage fashion gems hidden in the corners of this charming town. * I had to get a photo with a little lamb wearing a beanie - how adorable is that? * Now, let's get back to the real reason I came to Evandale, the tutus, Right?! I went on a mission to discover what hidden tutu gems this town held. * This town knows how to do vintage. * My first stop was a beautiful antique shop that was filled with the most beautiful old dresses and accessories. I even found a beautiful Victorian-era dress, and the embroidery and detailing were exquisite! This whole vibe of old world glam and elegance had me craving some old world, Romantic tutu glamour! Now I need to make time to go back and look more closely at that antique collection - this will have to wait for another post! * Now, a Tutu Tuesday doesn’t come around often enough. I was on a quest! My mission: to find the perfect tutu, an homage to the ballerinas and the classical, timeless, style. The romantic, traditional tulle and delicate details. This had to be a tulle, no netting tutu - a proper full romantic, feminine, swishing, Tutu Tuesday statement. Not just any tutu, my darlings! This has to be a showstopper, worthy of its #tututuesday debut, you know what I mean? I needed to bring a modern update, a sassy touch, because the #tututuesday mission calls for that - and don’t worry, you know my blog loves a good vintage fusion, we just need to make it work, right? **Finding my Perfect #tututuesday Tutu** After some wandering, I finally struck gold! Just as I was starting to give up hope, there was this gorgeous vintage store. You could say it’s almost tucked away down a laneway... but don't let that fool you. This store had amazing stuff, vintage finds from head-to-toe, and even a great selection of costume jewellery that just begged for a close-up. It looked as though there had not been a clean-out in years and each item told its own story - like a hidden gem - this is a find you can really treasure, my darlings! And right there, amongst all the treasures, it was calling out to me, “Pick me! Pick me!”. Now, my beautiful darlings, it's time for a big reveal: My #tututuesday Outfit * A vintage tulle ballerina skirt! Now, this is no ordinary tutu. We’re not talking ballet class here! It's that classic shape, but with that magical shimmer you know I love! A light champagne colour and delicate layers of tulle - she is the real deal, my love! That twirling, graceful ballerina dream, it’s got a timeless quality! * A pair of ripped jeans (with strategically placed rips, of course, so the tulle still takes center stage) * A cute, floral vintage-style crop top with a bit of lace * My trusty vintage denim jacket * A touch of vintage makeup, because that’s the best! * Oh, and the finishing touch? Some dainty sparkly earrings to complete the ensemble. My #tututuesday Experience in Evandale, Tasmania So there you have it, a whirlwind #tututuesday adventure right in the heart of Evandale.
