Tutu Tuesday in Kendall, New South Wales #tututuesday

G'day, lovelies! It's your girl, Mia, back with another Tutu Tuesday! Today, we're venturing outside the hustle and bustle of Sydney city to explore the quaint charm of Kendall, a delightful town nestled in the heart of New South Wales. And let me tell you, there's no better way to appreciate the serenity of this little gem than with a twirl or two in a stunning tutu!

Kendall's history as a haven for aspiring dancers runs deep. In the early days, it was known for its renowned dance school that churned out talented dancers who graced the stages of prestigious ballet companies across Australia. Sadly, the school closed its doors some years back, leaving behind a legacy of passion for the art form that continues to resonate in the community. While the echoes of barre work and pirouettes may have faded from the halls of the old school, the spirit of ballet lives on in the hearts of the locals, many of whom cherish memories of childhood ballet classes or still yearn to explore the magic of movement and grace.

So, imagine my delight as I stepped into this town and was greeted with an overwhelming sense of joy and the vibrant energy of Tutu Tuesday! The streets were alive with color and laughter as the local community celebrated the day with a vibrant outdoor market showcasing the very best of Kendall's local artisans and entrepreneurs.

Now, where would a ballet-obsessed girl like myself be without a little tututastic shopping spree? And this market, my darlings, was a haven for tutu-lovers. I spotted a stunning array of tutus from every era, crafted from a symphony of fabrics: classic, traditional tulle with a timeless charm; vintage, romantic tutus in soft, dreamy pastel hues; modern, edgy designs that screamed confidence and charisma; and even some breathtaking, bohemian tutus perfect for a laid-back festival vibe. It was a veritable tutu wonderland!

I couldn't resist snapping a few pics with my favourite finds, and you know I couldn't resist showcasing these sartorial beauties for you. Here are a few highlights from my Kendall tutu shopping adventure, featuring:

  • Classic Romantic Tutu: I fell in love with this sweet, airy confection made from multiple layers of delicate tulle, perfect for swirling through a dreamy forest clearing (or your living room)!
  • Vintage Ballet Tutu: This piece oozed with history and character. The fabric had a rich, vintage patina, adding an ethereal touch to the graceful silhouette, like stepping right out of a classic ballet production.
  • Modern Fringe Tutu: My heart skipped a beat when I spied this one! The fringe was just fabulous, dancing and swaying with every step - oh, so chic and playful!
  • Boho Tutu: I knew this was meant for my wanderlust. Imagine yourself with this breezy, whimsical piece in a sunflower field, with a wide-brimmed hat, boho jewellery, and some fab sandals. Oh, it's sheer magic!

Kendall truly stole my heart with its vibrant energy, community spirit, and the irresistible allure of its tutu-inspired scene. For any dancer, ballerinas, and tutu-loving ladies (and gents!), I highly recommend adding Kendall to your Aussie travel itinerary! It's a true gem and a great escape to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of dance. ๐Ÿฉฐโœจ #tututuesday #Kendall #NewSouthWales #aussielife
