Tutu Tuesday in Moree, New South Wales: #tututuesday Gā€™day, dance lovers! Itā€™s your girl, Lily, back with another blog post and itā€™s time to talk about all things tulle! You know, when it comes to dancing in Australia, the love for a classic tutu is real, and for #tututuesday, we're taking it to the streets of Moree. This small town, known for its unique charm and rich history, has been showing its dance-loving spirit in a way thatā€™s totally on pointe. This #tututuesday isnā€™t about stuffy rules, it's about embracing the joy of twirling and feeling fab, no matter what style of tutu you're rocking. We're talking the classic "Romantic Tutu" - a symphony of soft, layered tulle, perfect for channeling a graceful Swan Lake vibe. Or, maybe youā€™re feeling fierce and want a ā€œRussian Tutuā€ ā€“ short and sassy, with layers of stiff tulle for that eye-catching effect. Let's not forget about the "Modern Tutu", with its more structured and innovative designs - the perfect fit for a contemporary dance look. But Tutu Tuesday in Moree isnā€™t just about rocking the tulle. It's about a community thatā€™s united by a shared passion. As I walked through the heart of this bustling little town, I saw tutus everywhere! Shop owners embraced the theme by wearing whimsical, fluffy tutus, kids danced down the street, and even a friendly dog wore a tiny tutu! There were also a couple of 'tutu-inspired' stalls in the local market, where creators sold handmade tutu-themed jewellery, headbands and even delicious tutu-shaped cupcakes. I even spotted a 'tutu makeover booth' where people could get their hair styled with tutus and flowers. My day started with a fun ballet class at Moreeā€™s local dance studio. Youā€™d be surprised to see the enthusiasm here for dance! Thereā€™s a vibrant community that encourages kids of all ages to get involved in ballet and other dance forms. In the afternoon, I found myself having coffee with the local Mayor, who proudly shared his love of all things ballet, and his vision for a community ballet festival - and I couldnā€™t help but be excited to think that Moree could become the ballet capital of the outback! As I finish this post, I have one word for you: twirl! #tututuesday is about celebrating the joy of dance and feeling your inner ballerina. No matter your age, shape, or dance level, put on your tutu, get ready to embrace your inner dance queen, and unleash your best twirl! See you next time! -Lily, xoxo
