Tutu Tuesday in Tweed Heads, New South Wales: #tututuesday

It's your girl, Amelia, back with another installment of my #tututuesday adventures. This week, I decided to take a little road trip down to Tweed Heads, New South Wales to embrace the beautiful scenery, beachy vibes, and of course, find the perfect tutu for a special photoshoot!
Tweed Heads is just over the border in New South Wales and, if I'm honest, this has to be one of the most amazing spots on the East Coast! I feel so lucky to live in a place that allows you to get so close to nature.
Now, you know me - always a fan of a good classic tulle tutu. There's just something about the way they swish and flow in the wind that fills me with joy! But, for my Tweed Heads escapade, I felt the need to mix it up a bit and experiment with some different styles. So, off to the local costume shops I went!
Here are my top Tutu Tuesday picks for Tweed Heads:
* **The "Mermaid Tutu":** Inspired by the waves crashing against the rocks at the Tweed Heads coastline, I couldn't resist a dreamy, flowing, layered tulle tutu that reminds me of a mermaid’s tail. Think cascading tiers, pastel colors and shimmering sequins for the perfect dose of fairytale magic. * **The "Surf's Up Tutu":** A more casual look for those beachside strolls and sunset walks, I loved the feel of a shorter, layered tutu, perfect for twirling on the sand! Doesn't get much better! * **The "Palm Springs Tutu":** We can't talk about the Tweed without acknowledging those lush tropical gardens. Imagine bold colours, exotic patterns and flowing fabric - this is how you embody the glamorous Palm Springs vibe right on the Tweed Coast.
But honestly, when it comes to tutus, the style really doesn’t matter so much as how confident you feel rocking it! For me, #tututuesday is all about pushing boundaries, having fun, and showcasing our love of the art form. It's also a wonderful opportunity to chat about the importance of dance in Australia.
