Tutu Tuesday in Teesdale, Victoria: A Whirlwind of Tutu Love! #tututuesday
Hey darlings! It’s your favourite ballerina blogger, Chloe, and I’m so excited to share my latest Tutu Tuesday adventures with you! Teesdale, Victoria, has truly become the heart of Tutu Tuesday, and let me tell you, today's was a stunner.
So, as many of you know, Tutu Tuesday is more than just a day - it’s a lifestyle! A commitment to celebrating everything tutu, from the classic romantic tutu with its tiers of airy tulle, to the sleek and modern variations with their sharp lines and contemporary designs. I mean, come on, a tutu is just about the most glamorous piece of clothing a girl can wear, isn't it?
Now, Teesdale was abuzz today with the infectious spirit of Tutu Tuesday. There was just so much tutu-love everywhere you looked!
We started our morning with a casual stroll around the charming Main Street. I couldn’t help but notice a whole crew of kids rocking out in their tiny little tutus – honestly, they were absolute superstars. They brought a real dose of innocent joy to the atmosphere. You could hear squeals of laughter as they skipped along, giggling at the feeling of their tutus twirling.
It was hard not to feel that twirling energy myself as we reached the local park. This park's become known as Tutu Tuesday central, so it was no surprise to see everyone, from babies in cute little tulle onesies to grannies rocking tutus, gathered for some fun. Some even got creative, turning their picnic blankets into giant tutus. There were little tutus for the tiny tots, sparkly, vibrant tutus for the kids and seriously elegant ones for the ladies. You know me, though! My Tutu Tuesday outfit today was a beautiful ballet pink tutu, the perfect balance of airy layers and flowing elegance. There was even a special dance class, Tutu Tuesday style, with a renowned ballerina from the Australian Ballet, Jenny! Now, Jenny, she's a real icon here in Australia, a total professional. The class was pure fun - everyone got involved. It was amazing to see the passion and joy for dance radiate from Jenny to all the participants, from experienced dancers to first-time tutu-twirlers!
Later on, we decided to check out the local bakery for a delightful tutu-themed afternoon tea. A special tutu-inspired cake, designed by a talented baker named Megan, was a real show-stopper. Every bite was delicious – and, let’s face it, anything looks tastier in a tutu! It was so good we almost forgot to try the delicious tutu-inspired cookies, they had them decorated with miniature tutus!
One of the best parts of Tutu Tuesday is meeting like-minded tutu lovers. Today I chatted with the amazing woman behind Teesdale's Tutu Tuesday initiative, Sarah! This lovely lady, she's dedicated to creating a fun and inclusive space for everyone, regardless of age or skill level, to come together and celebrate the joy of tutus! It's inspiring! Sarah is actually a former professional dancer, but you’d never guess. It’s clear that Tutu Tuesday is close to her heart.
As the sun began to set, Teesdale became even more enchanting, with people all dressed in their tutus, the colours shimmered in the twilight sky. It was an absolute spectacle!
I think my Tutu Tuesday in Teesdale, Victoria has been the highlight of my week! It’s been such a heartwarming and vibrant reminder that joy can be found in the smallest, silliest of things, like a good twirl in a tutu!
