Tutu Tuesday in Hanwood, New South Wales: A Tutu-tastic Celebration of Dance!
Hey gorgeous peeps! It's your fave dance-loving Aussie gal here, back with another blog post about my absolute obsession: tutus! You know, life's just a little bit better in a tutu. It's the ultimate symbol of grace, elegance, and of course, all things dance. And what better day to celebrate these glorious creations than #TutuTuesday?
This Tuesday, I decided to embrace the tutu spirit right here in Hanwood, New South Wales. I've been spending a lot of time exploring the vibrant ballet scene in Australia and this little town has some seriously talented dancers.
I took a walk around town, admiring the architecture and just soaking in the peaceful vibes of Hanwood. Of course, no #TutuTuesday would be complete without a little tutu-themed photo shoot, so I busted out my fave tutu – a stunning, classic Romantic tutu, with tiers of shimmering tulle that flowed in the breeze. I know, it was total #tutugoals, right?
For my Hanwood #TutuTuesday photoshoot, I decided on a playful, vibrant look. Think vibrant pinks, playful florals, and a hint of whimsical charm. Here's what made the look so perfect:
- My romantic tutu: a fluffy, tiered, pink tutu that would make any ballerina swoon. It was a touch of sweetness with just enough romantic drama to make it pop in my photos.
- My floral headband: This one's my fave way to add a bit of whimsical personality to my #TutuTuesday outfits. The soft pink florals against the black background of my tutu gave my outfit a bit of an ethereal edge, like a whimsical ballerina ready to take on the world!
- My bold coral lips: My go-to lip color for that little bit of boldness and femininity. A great way to make my lips the focal point and match my tutu so well. I'm obsessed!
Speaking of the vibrant ballet scene in Australia, Hanwood is home to some amazing studios and dancers. You know what makes tutu-tastic even better? Sharing your passion with like-minded people! I popped into the Hanwood Ballet Academy and met the sweetest dance instructor, Mrs. Henderson. We chatted about all things tutus and she shared some awesome stories about her time as a ballerina in Sydney. She even told me a story about how she once accidentally wore the wrong tutu to a big audition! Whoops, we've all been there!
My little #TutuTuesday adventure in Hanwood reminded me of how much joy dance brings to my life, but also how inspiring the dance community can be. It’s not just about pirouettes and jetés, it’s about sharing our love of movement and self-expression.
