And it's here, amidst the crisp air and cozy charm of New Brunswick, where I decided to bring my Tutu Tuesday adventures to life!
I've got to admit, New Bandon definitely made me re-think the classic white tutu stereotype. I’m all about the classics, of course, but I’m not a stick in the mud! This town embraced tutus of all shapes, colours, and textures. From the traditional romantic tutus that billowed with ethereal elegance to the contemporary tutus crafted from flowing fabrics, and even some modern takes on the iconic tutu - think edgy asymmetry, playful colours, and statement-making fabrics. The creativity of New Bandon's dancers is absolutely breathtaking!
You’d never guess that the charming little studio tucked away on the outskirts of town hosted an array of talent. Young and old alike were putting their best foot forward. My favourite part of the day? Getting a sneak peek into their upcoming performance. They were staging a full-scale production of "The Nutcracker" in their community centre! This town doesn't mess around!
Honestly, the amount of passion and dedication that radiates from the New Bandon community was something I could have watched for hours. So what exactly did my Tutu Tuesday in New Bandon involve?
