Tutu Tuesday in Saint-Zotique, Quebec: A Celebration of All Things Tutu! #tututuesday It's Tutu Tuesday in Saint-Zotique, Quebec, and you know what that means! Time to dust off our favourite tutus and celebrate all things dance and fashion. Being a professional ballet dancer and a self-proclaimed fashionista, Tutu Tuesdays are my jam. Every Tuesday, I make it a point to wear a tutu because I feel that dance, especially ballet, deserves a moment of celebration. As I'm writing this post, I'm twirling around my apartment in my beloved powder blue Romantic tutu. It's airy and light, with multiple layers of tulle. There's something about twirling in a Romantic tutu that makes me feel like a ballerina from another era - a magical creature ready to take on the world. A Romantic tutu's airy quality provides freedom of movement and creates the impression of flight, it’s a dance lover's dream. Of course, not every tutu needs to be Romantic to be beautiful. We have so many options out there, from the classic Tutu de Point with its short, conical skirt perfect for showcasing high jumps, to the graceful Tutu de Danse, designed to flow and shimmer during the softest of movements. Then, there's the expressive Contemporary Tutu, perfect for evoking raw emotion and powerful storytelling. And if you're looking for something a little different, you can always check out the diverse and fun designs available in the Tutu World. We all have a special connection with our tutus, and each one tells a story. The way I see it, tutus aren't just part of our stage costumes. They are part of our identity. Wearing a tutu, even if you're just walking down the street or popping into the grocery store, is a bold statement - an expression of your passion and a testament to the magic of ballet. It doesn't matter where you are in Canada, or how experienced you are, whether you've always dreamed of dancing on stage or simply admire the elegance of a ballet performance, you can celebrate the tutu with me on #tututuesday! I’m always happy to see people's Tutu Tuesday fashion. Be creative, be bold, and have fun!
