Tutu Tuesday in Saint-Raymond, Quebec: A Celebration of Ballet and Fashion #tututuesday

Hey everyone! It's your girl, Claire, back with another exciting post! As you know, Tuesdays are all about tutus, and this week, I'm taking my love for ballet fashion to the charming town of Saint-Raymond, Quebec! Itā€™s a place with a vibrant ballet community, and Iā€™m stoked to share the magic of #tututuesday with you.

Saint-Raymond is a lovely small town, tucked away in the beautiful landscapes of Quebec, offering a touch of "small town charm" that's often hard to find in bigger cities. Walking the streets feels like stepping into a time capsule, but it also has this buzzing, young, and dynamic ballet community that just brings so much energy. Every time I visit Iā€™m just amazed!

And as a dancer myself, the local ballet studio here, which Iā€™ll keep under wraps, it's such a great place. The studio has an incredible energy. When I step into the dance studio, I'm transported back to the feeling of pure joy of being a ballerina - a mix of passion and commitment, and it just shows how seriously they take their dancing and their passion for ballet here!

And for this #tututuesday I just have to show off some of the incredible tutu styles that are big right now, at least here in Saint-Raymond:

  • The Romantic Tutu: This classic beauty is making a comeback, with its soft layers of tulle and delicate embellishments. It's perfect for creating a dreamy, ethereal look, and the romantic tutu, just so lovely on stage! I always get that feeling of ballet from the early 20th Century - all about grace, all about flow.
  • The Neo-Classical Tutu: This tutu is all about clean lines and modern designs. You know that ā€œlookā€ that is like the dancers are cutting through the air in a way that feels sharp, contemporary, like something new and just out of the future, so cool and exciting to watch. The neo-classical tutu embodies that look!
  • The Theatrical Tutu: If you're looking to make a statement, then the theatrical tutu is for you! The theatrical tutu, just ā€œtheatricalā€ by the name, is super oversized and has dramatic accents, just so full and showy with all of that ā€œlook at me!ā€ confidence. It gives a real pop of energy - just perfect for a night out at the ballet.

Let's be real though - when you think ā€œballetā€ you think of tutus! Tutus, are always going to be there in a dancersā€™ hearts. Itā€™s hard to find a more iconic fashion symbol that so beautifully conveys the passion, artistry, and beauty of ballet. There is something about a tutu, the fabric and the styles - whether the ballerina is dancing in classical or modern pieces, or maybe doing contemporary. It is iconic! So, on this #tututuesday, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the tutu!

Now Iā€™ve just gotta make a shout out to Canadian ballet. Our scene, so rich! I'm always proud to represent ballet as a Canadian and a ballet dancer. I am incredibly excited about how much ballet in Canada is really growing, we are truly shining a bright light on the beauty and grace of this art form, all over our home. The amazing ballet schools and companies across the country. Just breathtaking. Every single time I watch the beautiful ballets in this beautiful land - well, it's an experience! And there are just so many different talented dancers. Weā€™re doing a beautiful job of showcasing ballet! #ballet #balletlove

And if you're in the Saint-Raymond area - and you want some ā€œfun and tutusā€ I encourage you to check out the dance studio! It's a great community and just a wonderful place to learn the beauty of ballet.

So, have fun with your #tututuesday! Don't forget to tag your fabulous tutu looks so I can check them out - always love to see you ladies getting it done! #tutus #fashion #balletfashion
