Tutu Tuesday in Riding Mountain, Manitoba #tututuesday
Hey everyone, it's your girl, Olivia, back with another exciting Tutu Tuesday! This week, I'm bringing you some seriously stylish vibes from the heart of Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba. Let me tell you, there's nothing quite like dancing amidst the stunning natural beauty of this Canadian gem. But first, let's talk tutus!
My outfit for today? A gorgeous, classic romantic tutu in the most delicate shade of blush pink. It’s all layers of tulle and romantic floral designs on the bodice. Perfect for twirling amidst the trees, don't you think? I’ve paired it with a simple white ballet leotard and blush-colored ballet shoes to make sure my feet are in perfect form.
I've been doing ballet since I was a little girl, and I have to say, the ballet scene in Canada is thriving! It's such a wonderful community of dancers and performers, all with a passion for this beautiful art form.
Back to my Tutu Tuesday adventure. This week's destination, Riding Mountain, is such an enchanting place, I had to get a few snapshots. First, I was on the Boar's Head Trail. Did you know there’s a legendary legend of an indigenous spirit living in the trees around the trail? That sounds perfect for ballet! I envisioned my pink tutu billowing like the skirts of a dancing forest spirit. It gave me such an idea for a new piece.
Next up? The lake. Now, everyone knows you can’t go to a lake and NOT twirl by the water’s edge. Luckily, there’s an adorable pier overlooking Lake Audy, a pretty perfect setting for a dramatic Tutu Tuesday performance. Can you picture it? I’m a swan, gracefully gliding over the waters. That, my friends, is how a true Tutu Tuesday is made!
And while I'm at it, let me give you some tips for your own Tutu Tuesdays. Let's face it, dressing in a tulle explosion is a confidence boost, and who doesn't love a good confidence boost? Here's my Tutu Tuesday credo:

It's about finding spaces that feel special, like Riding Mountain did! I’m thinking somewhere you wouldn’t expect - like a library or a local bakery or a city park.
- Make it personal: My outfit was pink, and this week is full of romantic flair. Find what speaks to you! Perhaps you love bright colours or something modern with geometric shapes. Whatever you pick, have fun, express your unique style and let your tutu make a statement.
