Tutu Tuesday in Laurierville, Quebec: A Tutu-tiful Celebration of Ballet

Hey everyone! It's your girl, Clara, back with another fabulous fashion post, and today is all about TUTUS! Yes, you heard that right. As a professional ballerina and a fashion enthusiast, I can't think of a better way to celebrate our beautiful art form than with a Tutu Tuesday extravaganza.

I recently ventured out to Laurierville, a charming little town in the heart of Quebec, for a dance workshop. And guess what? They have this incredible tradition of celebrating #tututuesday! I was absolutely thrilled to be a part of this colourful community celebration. Laurierville folks sure know how to embrace a theme.

It's pretty amazing seeing everyone in their best tutus, whether they're seasoned ballerinas, beginners taking their first pirouette, or even just people who love a bit of fancy dress-up fun. You can tell everyone has put some serious thought into their #tututuesday ensembles. There's a huge array of tutu styles on display: the classic romantic tutus in delicate tulle, the structured, contemporary designs, the colourful explosion of the character tutus, and the comfy, practical tutus perfect for a day of pirouettes. Oh, and I have to give a shout out to the tutus made of repurposed materials and vintage fabrics. Those were truly impressive!

Laurierville’s #tututuesday is more than just a photo-op. It's a true celebration of community, a chance to express ourselves and spread some joy. It’s about ballet and movement in all its forms, embracing those moments of grace and expressing ourselves with creative style.

This got me thinking about ballet in Canada. From the grand stages of the National Ballet of Canada to the intimate studios in smaller towns like Laurierville, our country is bursting with incredible ballet talent! Every tutu twirling, plie taking dancer has a story to tell, and #tututuesday gives them a chance to shine.

Whether you're a seasoned dancer like me or someone who just loves a bit of whimsical fashion, I encourage you to celebrate #tututuesday in your own way. Wear your heart on your tutu. Grab your friends, don your best ballet inspired outfits, snap a photo, and share it with the world. Spread the joy, and celebrate the amazing art form of dance!

So, Laurierville, a massive shoutout to you for making #tututuesday so much fun. And to everyone reading this: Don’t be afraid to let your inner ballerina out! And remember, the most important part of a tutu is the confidence you wear underneath.

And to my fellow ballerinas in Canada, I salute you all. Keep dancing, keep inspiring, keep twirling, and always be kind to one another!

Don't forget to share your #tututuesday adventures on Instagram. And let's keep this tradition going strong. Because, as far as I'm concerned, every day can be #tututuesday!

Lots of love, Clara
