Tutu Tuesday in Royal Tunbridge Wells: A Rainbow of Frills and Sparkle
Okay, my fellow tutu lovers, let's talk Tutu Tuesday in Royal Tunbridge Wells. It's the most magical day of the week, especially when you're a ballet dancer like myself. Now, if you're not already following this glorious trend, allow me to enlighten you! ๐โโ๏ธโจ
It all started (as far as I'm aware - if anyone knows otherwise please tell me!) with a bunch of fabulously dressed ladies on Instagram, each rocking a fabulous tutu on a Tuesday, hashtag #tututuesday. The thing is, the internet LOVES a good theme, and it has taken off since. Tutu Tuesday is a chance to unleash your inner ballerina, no matter your skill level, experience, or age. And who doesn't want an excuse to wear a tutu?! ๐ Seriously, a tutu adds sparkle, fun and joy, which the world frankly, needs more of. So I, your resident tutu fanatic, took it to the next level. Because I mean, how can you have a #tututuesday without some unicorn magic? Right?
So today's Tutu Tuesday I sought out the finest tutus Royal Tunbridge Wells had to offer. This town, you see, is filled with adorable boutiques. Think 'pastel shades', 'indie finds' and 'quirky trinkets' - in short, just the perfect place to find the perfect tutu.
Now I love me a good classic tutu, the ones made with layers of soft tulle, all floaty and beautiful, but it just had to have a magical, unicorn vibe for this specific Tuesday. And my fellow fairy-loving friends, the good people of Royal Tunbridge Wells didn't let me down!
Let's talk tutu styles, shall we? ๐ First up, the "Twinkle Twinkle Tutu" which had all the rainbow vibes, glitter, sparkle and frills - basically all the ingredients of a #tututuesday that were fit for a unicorn princess. My tutu even came with little unicorn-themed embellishments that, I gotta tell you, brought a whole new level of enchantment. ๐
Next, the "Mystic Sparkle Tutu," all shimmering purple tulle with magical silver stars - definitely giving me unicorn vibes, but also a little bit witchy which I also love - think "enchanted forest" if you're trying to visualise it.
Third up - the "Whimsical Unicorn Tutu", which, let's be honest, was my ultimate catch of the day. This tutu, oh this tutu! This little beauty was perfect in every way. White as a fluffy cloud with rainbow coloured unicorn hair cascading from the waist - seriously I might have teared up. I mean it! It was breathtaking.
But I can't talk tutu styles without mentioning those iconic, super-short, sporty 'ballet' style tutus that have, quite literally, taken over the streets (they even have ones made from leather these days which are truly iconic, and surprisingly versatile) - they work so well with boots and everything from biker jackets to classic coats. Honestly, it's hard to believe a garment that was designed for a dancer on stage could translate to a whole wardrobe look - but hey, we live in a time when fashion is all about blending things and wearing what makes us happy, and thatโs a win, right?!
You wanna know the BEST part? I discovered a real unicorn while out and about searching for my tutu, which basically made my whole day. He was in the local bakery (can you believe it?!), a real live, silver one. Okay, so he was a unicornshaped cake but come on, who wouldn't consider it 'real' with that level of deliciousness?
And you know what's amazing? Itโs not just about the tutus or the unicorn cakes. Itโs about connecting with people, sharing laughs, and embracing a little bit of magic in everyday life. That's what #tututuesday is all about.
To finish, I want to give a huge shoutout to the fab shops in Royal Tunbridge Wells for their incredible tutus, the unicorn cakes, and of course to you, my fabulous readers, who are always up for a bit of fun, and always up for supporting your fellow tutus enthusiasts. Because, thatโs what makes this community magical. Keep twirling, you all are my favourite!
