## **Tutu Tuesday in Wickford: A Unicorn-tastic Adventure** **#tututuesday** It’s Tutu Tuesday, my loves! And this week, I’m bringing you all the rainbow-bright, glitter-tastic, and downright magical vibes of a *unicorn-tastic* day in Wickford, Essex. Buckle up, darlings, because this is going to be a whirlwind of tulle and sparkles! Imagine, if you will, a balmy Tuesday morning in Wickford, with the sun peeping through the clouds and a gentle breeze dancing in the trees. As I sashayed down the High Street in my shimmering, candy-pink tutu, I felt like I could conquer the world (or at least conquer the *fabulous* afternoon that awaited). You see, darling, this wasn’t just any ordinary Tuesday. This was the day I was going to embrace the whimsical, celebrate all things girly, and, of course, *show off my love for tutus*! And where better to embark on this glamorous adventure than in the quaint, picturesque town of Wickford? A little slice of Essex heaven where charm and tradition sit happily alongside a delightful dose of eccentricity. You know, that's why Wickford has become my absolute *favourite* place for a Tutu Tuesday adventure. Speaking of adventures, my Tutu Tuesday shenanigans began at *The Cake House*, a local bakery that *always* seems to be overflowing with delicious delights. They had the most *divine* selection of pastel-hued cakes and cupcakes, each one a little work of edible art. Now, if you've ever met a girl with a love for all things sparkly, then you'll understand why I picked out a cupcake that had edible pearls, glittery sprinkles and – you guessed it – a unicorn topper! It was so unbelievably cute I couldn't even bear to eat it at first. It looked just like the cupcake I *dreamed* about after attending a "disco roller disco" event with my bestie last week! After a few snaps (and, naturally, *multiple* Instagram-worthy pics with the unicorn cupcake in front of Wickford's iconic clock tower), it was time to make my way to *Wickford Art & Craft* – an amazing little shop crammed full of artsy, quirky, and just plain gorgeous goodies. You see, my heart is a sucker for anything handcrafted, so I spent ages browsing their beautiful selection of home décor. It’s there that I stumbled upon my *holy grail* - a sparkly, iridescent unicorn mug that was meant to be *mine*! With its shimmering silver unicorn horn and delicate details, it made me feel like I’d stepped out of a storybook! My *favourite* thing about the mug, aside from its total unicorn fabulousness, is its ability to hold an entire pot of my morning tea, making me feel as fabulous and magical as my favourite pink fluffy dressing gown! Seriously though, who else is feeling the urge for a *tea-tastic* cuppa in this gorgeous mug, you guys? Next up was the charming, family-owned tea shop, *The Lavender & Lace Tea Room*, with its dainty floral patterns and adorable pastel furniture – it's the perfect spot to have a nice *pot* of tea with your *best* girl. I went for the traditional English breakfast tea (no surprises there, darling!), and a slice of lemon and lavender cake. It was delicious and *so* delicate – my heart could only take *so* much sugar on a day that had already brought me unicorn-inspired sweets! In the afternoon, I went shopping in *The Emporium* - it’s not really my *style* – because I *needed* to treat myself to something gorgeous (and let's be honest, because I just *needed* another pink item in my life, right?). After a whirl through their fabulous shoe section and several tries with different tutus, I was totally tempted by the vibrant, rose-pink leather clutch bag - and it wasn't *even* a question about buying it! It's perfectly *tutu*-matched to every outfit I own - I *already* planned it. I paired the clutch with my classic, flowing tutu which is perfect for everything from *balleting* in my living room (it is my version of cardio) to afternoon shopping with my girlfriends - I have them for every occasion. If you are reading this and still rocking a black and white one, *please* join the 21st century – it’s time to make a bold choice and embrace the colours. After another trip to *The Emporium*, it was time to *refuel*. Let’s just say I needed an entire cup of bubble tea just to recover from my *shopping-induced exhaustion*. After that, it was onto *Wickford’s Green*. I love just sitting and enjoying the park and imagining all the little things that have taken place there, the families, the children running about playing, the local dog walkers… there is *just* so much charm, a truly peaceful setting in which to have a *tea-licious* pick-me-up. There's just something magical about Tutu Tuesdays in Wickford, you see. Maybe it’s the feeling of stepping back in time as you stroll along the cobblestone streets. Or perhaps it's the sense of community and kindness that emanates from every corner. Whatever it is, Wickford, on a Tuesday, *always* lifts my spirits. Plus, it's the only time I get to *dress up* and dance all over town. And the perfect accompaniment to a glorious, girly day? Why, nothing less than the most iconic symbol of whimsy and fantasy - a unicorn, darling. Now, I'm not talking about *real* unicorns – those magical creatures still elude us, I’m afraid! But, fear not, my lovely little unicorns *do* exist, thanks to Wickford’s most fabulous – and, admittedly, very strange – street art! It’s everywhere and has brought Wickford an edge in a totally unexpected and wonderful way, with art popping up around town, in cafes, on brick walls and lamp posts… you just can't escape the unicorn theme and it *works* beautifully! Let me tell you, darling, I wasn't disappointed. Every corner I turned brought me face-to-face with a new, colourful, unicorn creation – some with rainbows, some with stars, some with disco balls, others even holding little rainbows, *and* they even added glitter to *some* of the *sparkly* creatures… There are even unicorn silhouettes hidden amongst the colourful artwork too! Let's be honest - if you didn’t enjoy the fabulous artwork then there's probably something wrong with you… My love for unicorns is truly unwavering, darling. If I'm not dancing in a tutu, then I'm probably talking about *all things unicorns*! Maybe even singing and dancing, that *disco* vibe! What's the *disco* connection, you may ask? Well, I *may* or *may* not have found a pair of sparkly, unicorn-themed roller skates at *The Emporium*. They were an amazing steal and *had* to be mine! It's official – Wickford on Tutu Tuesdays has stolen my heart with its whimsical energy. What’s your *favourite* spot to wear your tutu? Let me know below in the comments.
