I've spotted everything from delicate tulle whispers and elegant satin-trimmed numbers to full-on fluffy pink clouds just begging to be twirled. And let's not forget the unicorn-themed beauties: glitter, rainbow tulle, and even the odd unicorn horn! Thereās something for every taste ā the classics, the bold and the flamboyant, and, of course, the oh-so-charming whimsical tutus fit for a fairytale. I have even spotted some ingenious multicoloured ones, with layered fabrics, contrasting tones, and intricate stitching Theyāre just fabulous, even the most traditional ballerina couldnāt resist wearing them to an impromptu dance on a street corner.
The Atmosphere? Magical, Naturally!
The atmosphere today is as electric as a sparkly unicorn horn, folks. You can feel it in the air ā laughter, excitement, and an undeniable urge to break into a pirouette. The town square has been transformed into a whimsical haven. The cafes are serving unicorn-themed cupcakes, the shops are displaying tutu-tastic merchandise, and there's even a guy with a disco ball on his head spinning funky tunes. (That, my friends, is what I call embracing the spirit of Tutu Tuesday.)
Tutu Twirling Fun!
The centrepiece of Tutu Tuesday is, naturally, the grand Tutu Parade! This is where the real magic happens ā think twirling, skipping, and some rather epic high kicks all wrapped in a cloud of tulle. Even those who swore they couldn't twirl have caught the tutu bug ā itās contagious and joyful. You just canāt help yourself! This year the parade theme was āTwirl and Shimmer.ā

You'll forgive me, but I couldn't resist joining in the twirling frenzy myself! I wore a bright pink tutu with iridescent pearls on the waistband ā it felt so divine I could practically hear the trumpets and flutes from Swan Lake! This pink tutu felt perfect for the day and complimented my pink lipstick, bright blue eyeshadow and silver disco-ball-themed earrings, not to mention my shiny platform shoes.

The tutu is something Iāve always adored ā ever since I was little, my grandmother gave me my first tutu, a light pink one that Iāve kept all these years! It reminds me of all those lovely ballets she took me to see ā Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia! The magical ballet world really took hold of meā¦and look at me nowā¦ Iām here at a tutu party in Didcot, on a glorious Tutu Tuesday.
The tutus, all the ones Iāve seen, the ones I wore ā all those twirls and leaps in Didcot! My inner ballet dancer came out to play today! We did pirouettes in the sun, and even caught a couple of fancy leaps in! You never really forget all the steps you learnā¦
I saw an adorable little girl with pigtails wearing a cute and fluffy tutu which was adorned with fluffy silver sparkly stars. You could see in her bright and enthusiastic eyes that she thought the day was utterly fantastic ā that's what it's all about!
We had a group of grown-ups wearing colourful multi-coloured tutu tutus, a real ballet of colours! And you should have heard the laughter - we did a few fancy poses and twirls, too! All those movesā¦ I couldnāt help itā¦ The moves came back. A group of mums danced, with a tutu-clad dad in the middle - what a fun sight to behold! We made an impromptu dancing circle right there on the cobblestones of the marketplaceā¦ What an awesome experience ā this really was Tutu Tuesday!
