Vienna Calling! (Post #89)

Bonjour mes amies! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another instalment of my Pink Tutu Vienna adventures!

This week, I'm writing to you from the heart of Vienna, a city that feels like a fairytale come to life. Imagine cobbled streets, majestic palaces, and a whole heap of history - all served up with a side of the most beautiful pastries you've ever laid eyes on. Just the thought of all those flaky croissants and delicious Sachertorten is making my tummy rumble!

But enough about the food (for now) – I’m here to talk about all the fabulously pink things I've been up to since my last post.

The Pink Tutu Train Adventure

First off, I have to tell you about my journey to Vienna. I ditched the boring old aeroplane this time and hopped aboard the train from beautiful Salzburg – and oh, what an adventure it was! I've always had a bit of a soft spot for travelling by train – there’s just something so romantic about it, you know? All the charming stations, the gorgeous countryside whizzing by, and the cosy carriage with its soft plush seats… it felt like a scene straight out of a vintage movie!

But let's be honest, this journey wasn't just about the scenery, darling. I was sporting the perfect outfit – a blush pink tutu with a flowing tulle skirt that was just begging to twirl. Of course, my signature pink polka dot ribbon was tied perfectly around my bun (no frizzy hair for this ballerina, no siree!), and I was dressed in my prettiest pink frock with delicate lace details and a little, sweet bolero to keep the chill at bay. I know, I know, I could've opted for a sensible jacket, but darling, the fashion game must go on!

And just picture this: as I swayed to the rhythm of the train tracks, people's eyes followed me. They looked at my pink-tastic outfit with admiration and, let's be honest, a sprinkle of envy! I think my fabulous pinkness lit up the entire carriage, bringing joy and sunshine to every weary traveler. After all, wouldn't we all love a little extra pink in our lives?

Vienna, My Pink Paradise

Vienna itself is like a haven for any pink-loving tutu-wearing gal. It's positively bursting with all the things I love - history, music, art, and of course, gorgeous shops where I can get lost in the latest fashion trends!

Speaking of fashion, have I told you about the wonderful vintage shop I discovered this morning? I mean, how else do you think I found my oh-so-gorgeous hat? This exquisite, wide-brimmed number is an explosion of delicate pink feathers and stunning antique velvet. Just imagine how lovely it looks perched on top of my chic, perfectly pinked up do!

But, of course, ballet is the star of the show. I just had to check out the Vienna State Opera House! You simply cannot visit this city without seeing a performance in this beautiful building. My oh my, it’s more magnificent than anything I’ve ever witnessed. All marble, gold leaf and opulent chandeliers, it's simply divine. The ballet performances here are exceptional – you know me, darling, I simply couldn't resist getting tickets to see "Giselle." The music, the choreography, the emotions, it all left me in a state of pure bliss! It's moments like these that really make my little tutu-loving heart sing!

Pink Tutu Ballet School in Vienna

Speaking of ballet, you might think this Parisian girly girl would have to be content with admiring the Vienna State Opera. But not this pink princess, darling! I discovered a little gem tucked away in a quiet, charming cobbled street called the Ballet Schule Vienna. The ballet school's founder is an adorable ballerina called Madame Sylvie. Madame Sylvie is, naturally, a very talented choreographer who also designs gorgeous costumes, and believe it or not, her whole studio is decked out in lovely shades of pink! I signed up for a drop-in ballet class that very day - after all, it’s simply impossible to resist a little pirouette with a pink-loving gal like myself! And the best part? This wonderful school offers drop-in classes every day - which means I can practically live my life in a pink tutu and pink ballet shoes, if I want!

And to think, just a couple of days ago, I was getting my hair done at the swankiest salon in the heart of Salzburg – surrounded by shimmering pink walls, adorned with the most fabulous sparkly lights, while my darling hairdresser diligently curled and coiffed my golden locks to perfection – making me feel like a princess, and all before my trip on the fabulous train to Vienna!

Fashionably Fancy, My Dearest

To keep my little pink-loving tummy happy (we have to stay energized, darling!), I’m feasting on the most incredible delicacies in Vienna’s chic cafes and enjoying the delicious cakes, creamy cappuccinos and endless pink macarons (my new love, it seems). Of course, every day is a fashion feast – and oh darling, have you seen Vienna’s shop windows? The beautiful colours and divine creations from their top fashion houses are simply amazing! I can hardly wait to share the photos with you all in my next post, and I just have a feeling my new pink fur coat (yes, a pink fur coat!) will be getting its very own Insta post… I can’t help it, my inner fashionista just needs to share these beautiful outfits and wonderful stores! You know how much I adore fashion, my dears.

Of course, this whole Viennese adventure has got me thinking about a whole bunch of new blog post ideas - I can already feel those ideas popping up in my brain as if by magic! Maybe next time I’ll delve into some of my favourite things – the ballet school, my travel plans, or some fun, fashionable Parisian ideas for a fabulous pink tutu outfit – think pink velvet, exquisite feathers and vintage lace – just imagining them all has got me thrilled!

Until next week my loves, keep shining and wear a pink tutu!

Love, Emma xx
