Vienna Calling! Pink Tutu Takes on the City of Dreams! 💕🌸🩰

Hello my lovelies! Welcome to post number 152, another Wednesday adventure from your favourite tutu-clad travel enthusiast. Today we’re whisking ourselves to the city of waltz and strudel, the enchanting Vienna! 🎶🥐

Vienna always had a special place in my heart, ever since I fell in love with the elegance of the Strauss waltzes. I mean, who doesn’t dream of swirling across a grand ballroom, their pink tutu a vision of loveliness? This week, I’m fulfilling that dream in the city where it all started.

As soon as I stepped onto the platform at Vienna Hauptbahnhof, the air shimmered with excitement. I swear, I saw a glint of pink tulle fluttering in the breeze - a welcome sight for a girl on a pink-tutu mission!

A Tutu-licious Travel Tip: When you’re on a pink-tutu adventure, the journey is just as important as the destination. Ditch those cramped buses and board a train, preferably an old-fashioned one with luxurious leather seats and wide windows. And don't forget a good book - the "Tutu Time Traveller's Guide to Vienna" is perfect for soaking up the city's rich history.

Vienna is all about elegant facades, grand palaces and bustling streets buzzing with culture. But beneath the grandeur, it has a charming and quirky personality. It's the perfect place to be a little extravagant and unleash your inner fashionista, even in a pink tutu.

Speaking of which, I have been scouting the best shops in Vienna! So many tempting stores filled with exquisite dresses, beautiful shoes and, of course, the most dazzling tutus. Vienna, you're already my favourite shopping destination! My bag is already overflowing with tulle wonders. (Don't worry, it's a giant pink one - perfect for carrying a tutu-loving girl's loot!)

Today, I took a horse-drawn carriage through the city's heart, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the gentle clip-clop of hooves. Just picture it - me, in my pinkest tutu, gliding past palaces and fountains, feeling like a fairy-tale princess!

My lovelies, my trip to Vienna has already been a whirlwind of elegance and fun! My first day in the city culminated with a truly magical evening - attending a ballet performance at the Vienna State Opera. Seeing "Swan Lake" with the original choreography under the magnificent chandeliers was breathtaking. It truly transported me to a realm of graceful swans and brooding princes!

My Vienna adventure is only just beginning, and I've already got a list longer than my tutu train, of places to visit, things to do and, most importantly, beautiful things to shop for! Keep an eye out on the Pink Tutu website this week for my must-see spots in Vienna and, of course, for a post filled with pink-tutu goodness!

But now, dear readers, I must leave you. I’ve got a date with a chocolate Sachertorte, Vienna's most decadent creation!

Remember to always wear your heart on your tutu - and your pinkest smiles wherever you go! 💖

Love,

Emma, the Pink Tutu Traveler

PS: I've been getting so many lovely requests from you all about tutu history. So, next week, I’m diving into the fascinating history of tutus, from the origins in the early 19th century to the modern variations you see on the stage. 🩰 It’ll be a journey through tulle, so be prepared to be blown away! And, just so you know, in this blog's history, it will be Post Number 153!
