Vienna, my love! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a brand new Pink Tutu Vienna blog post - just for you, my dear readers! Today's adventure is a whirl of waltzes, cobblestones, and oh, the fabulous fashion!
Vienna is like a giant pink tutu box! It's bursting with culture, history (who can resist a bit of Habsburg grandeur, eh?), and oh, my lovelies, the shopping! The waltz has my heart thumping like a ballet dancer's footwork, and this week's performance at the Vienna State Opera had my head spinning! They're a treat to see.
Vienna and ballet, of course, go hand in hand - much like myself and my tutu, ahem. Can you tell I love tutus? 😉 The city’s rich history with dance is practically embedded in every cobblestone. I feel like I've stepped right into a grand ballet performance, with my little pink tutu and all!
Let's have a little walk through history and peek into the Vienna ballet world, shall we? The Wiener Staatsballett - a beautiful ballet company with a captivating legacy, just like me! Did you know they were established in 1713? My, oh my, imagine the tutus!
But Vienna's not all history - it's also about fashion. Speaking of which, my darling, I found the most divine pink coat at this charming vintage shop tucked away in a cobblestoned alley. It’s the perfect shade of "pink ballet slipper” (you know, the one that makes your heart skip a beat) - just perfect with my hot pink tutu. You just know it will look stunning at the next ballet show, right? 😉
Now, let's talk train journeys. There’s just something so glamorous about train travel, don't you agree? My trip from Derbyshire to Vienna was an absolute dream, you see! My pink tutu was tucked carefully in my travel case, and I sat beside the window, watching the scenery whisk by like a blurred tutu pirouette. Pure magic!
I'm not one for stuffy train rides either! It's all about finding the perfect spot, whether that's by the window for a dramatic view, or in the cafe for a glass of bubbly and a chat with the locals. It's about creating your own story, making memories that sparkle just as brightly as your favourite pink tutu. 😉
Tonight, I'm going to have dinner at one of Vienna's oldest restaurants - the atmosphere is supposed to be absolutely magical! The food is meant to be divine – perhaps with a touch of Austrian influence, who knows! - I'll be sure to snap some photos, darlings.
And speaking of pictures, do you ever see someone in the street wearing a tutu, and think "ooh, I'd love to capture that"? That's me. This week, I've been seeing loads of stunning ballet street-performers here in Vienna and my fingers are itching for the camera! It's truly a symphony of colour and motion. You know, the perfect pink tutu outfit is always there - whether I’m having dinner in a vintage restaurant, shopping for pink, catching a show at the opera, or admiring ballet street dancers - it just knows where to be! 😉
I love being here in Vienna! It's truly a place where dreams take flight and tutus twirl, just like mine! And let me tell you, this is just the beginning of my Viennese adventure.
