Hello darlings! Emma here, your favourite tutu-wearing ballerina, and guess where I am today? You guessed it - the stunning city of Vienna! Oh my, it's like stepping into a fairytale. I feel like I'm right out of a Strauss operetta! 🩰
This week's blog comes to you live from my chic little Vienna apartment, right next to the beautiful Schönbrunn Palace. The streets here are lined with elegant cafes, grand architecture, and so many gorgeous little boutiques to lose yourself in. Did I mention they all sell the most darling hats? My suitcase is already bursting with feathers and velvet. Speaking of suitcases, my travels to Vienna were truly delightful, a picturesque train journey through the Austrian countryside. Such a magical way to arrive! And let's not forget the glorious horses - I just had to have a horse and carriage ride through the Prater. The highlight was definitely when a lovely old gentleman serenaded us with his accordion. Oh, the romance! 💕
As you know, I'm a huge history buff, particularly when it comes to the ballet! Vienna is overflowing with history and of course, ballet history too! Did you know Vienna was a central hub for the ballet, home to the prestigious Vienna State Opera? I simply HAD to visit! The building itself is a masterpiece, its magnificent interiors taking me straight back to the era of waltzes and elegant costumes. It's where legends like Tchaikovsky and Mozart graced the stage, and I imagine the sheer excitement, the passion in the air! It made me yearn for the ballet so much. And guess what? There was a show playing this evening! Mozart's "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" I can't wait! Oh, darling, I even spotted a couple of ladies rocking bright pink tutus in the audience! 💖
Ballet Streetwear: Vienna Edition Speaking of fashion, my dear readers, let's chat Vienna's chic and quirky ballet streetwear scene! I simply have to tell you about this charming boutique near Stephansplatz - I spotted the most delightful pink tutu in the window! It was a vibrant, shimmering magenta, perfectly capturing the energy of this fabulous city! I simply had to buy it. 🎀
And of course, no Vienna adventure is complete without sampling the exquisite pastries! Sachertorte, apple strudel, all washed down with delicious coffee! Such a delightful way to end the day.
Now, you know I love all things girly. Well, I have been exploring the city's pinkest, most enchanting corners. Let's start with the Belvedere Palace - a pink paradise! The Baroque architecture, the lovely gardens, even the pigeons seemed to be wearing a bit of pink. I captured some heavenly photographs, a few to pop on my Instagram for you darlings to see! 🌸
You all know that pink is my favourite colour, but Vienna is giving me pink-tastic overload! It's even infiltrated the art scene, and I discovered a truly amazing exhibition at the Albertina Museum. Imagine, a gallery dedicated to the colours of pink and blush! So dreamy, like stepping into a cloud of pastel hues. 💖
A Little Tutu-orial - Pink is Everything!
My lovelies, the key to a truly enchanting experience is a little pink magic. You see, when you put on a pink tutu, you enter a magical world! Vienna's magic seems even more enchanting. I felt like a princess twirling through the streets! Oh, to bring a bit of ballerina sparkle to the everyday! You don’t have to be a professional dancer, darlings. Tutus are for everyone, you know! Oh, to Live the Vienna Life This magical city just knows how to capture the heart. From its stunning palaces to its cozy cafes, the rich history and the ballet, everything whispers of elegance and wonder. I'm smitten! I'm absolutely convinced Vienna will forever hold a special place in my heart! It's been such a wonderful journey, and I've captured every special moment in my pink tutu!
