#PinkTutuVienna - Post 377 - Vienna Waltz

Hello darlings!

Itā€™s Wednesday, so it's time for my weekly #PinkTutuVienna blog post, fresh from the gorgeous city of Vienna! As always, I'm your pink-loving, tutu-wearing blogger Emma, reporting live from my current adventure.

This week has been pure fairytale magic, and I wouldnā€™t have it any other way! As you know, I'm a huge fan of classical music and opera, and Vienna is simply overflowing with it. Today, Iā€™m wearing a particularly fabulous pink tulle tutu that twirls beautifully in the air ā€“ it practically begs for me to do a grand jetĆ©! I must admit, it feels a tad odd wearing this lovely ensemble against the majestic backdrop of the Vienna State Opera House.

And speaking of opera, letā€™s get straight to what Iā€™ve been up to this week, starting withā€¦ drumroll ā€¦ the opera! Yes, I finally managed to snag tickets to the Carmen performance at the Vienna State Opera House! Oh, it was simply divine! The voices, the costumes, the stage sets - all so breathtakingly beautiful. Itā€™s been ages since Iā€™ve seen a show that moved me so deeply. And the highlight of the evening was definitely the Toreadorā€™s Song ā€“ oh, what a thrilling number! The audience went absolutely wild, and it's fair to say that my heart skipped a beat or two!

Now, after a performance like that, one needs a good spot for dinner, and Vienna never disappoints. My friend Sarah and I dined at a charming little restaurant in the Old Town. We tucked into a divine Wiener Schnitzel and enjoyed some delicious Austrian wine. Afterward, we went on a lovely little stroll along the River Danube. It was such a picturesque walk with charming buildings reflected in the shimmering water.

It would be rude of me not to mention a new addition to my ballet collection. I spent hours browsing in Viennaā€™s vintage shops ā€“ and Iā€™m delighted to report Iā€™ve found the most exquisite antique ballerina brooch. The detailing is so intricate! It even has a tiny little pink gem that shimmers as it catches the light! I just love finding beautiful, historical ballet treasures to add to my collection! Itā€™s so important to keep those elegant ballerinas in our lives!

My journey wouldnā€™t be complete without a touch of nature and a hint of a pink equestrian touch. Vienna's vast parklands are something else ā€“ they're just stunning! We decided to visit the Schƶnbrunn Palace Gardens, a sprawling, picturesque parkland estate featuring breathtaking views, grand avenues, manicured hedges and an abundance of vibrant flowers! I simply adored the pink and purple hues of the flowers ā€“ they perfectly complemented my pink tutu. Oh, the joys of a coordinated outfit! Sarah and I indulged in a delicious picnic in the gardens. And let me tell you, thereā€™s nothing quite like enjoying a picnic while watching fluffy white clouds drift across the summer sky. Sarah had borrowed her cousin's vintage pink Shetland pony, so I couldnā€™t resist asking her if I could ride it. Of course, the answer was an emphatic "YES" - what else would it be! We galloped happily through the fields with a mischievous giggle in our voices! Riding a pink Shetland Pony is not only good for the soul but, most importantly, the Instagram.

And now, dear readers, my time is almost up! Vienna has certainly cast its spell on me, and it's hard to leave. Itā€™s one of those cities where the history feels so tangible, like itā€™s woven into the very fabric of the streets. Vienna really does have that ā€œje ne sais quoiā€ that keeps you wanting more, especially for a tutu lover like me!

Stay tuned for my next #PinkTutuVienna blog post - I've got lots of exciting things planned. I'm thinking maybe a visit to the Vienna Philharmonic for a concert, or perhaps an impromptu ballet performance in the beautiful Schƶnbrunn Gardensā€¦ but then, my secret Tutu adventures will stay a secret! Whatever I do, I promise itā€™ll be a pink-tastic affair, my dears.

Until next time,

Lots of love, Emma
