Oh my goodness, Vienna! It's so fabulous, so chic, soā¦well, pink! It's Wednesday again, and Iām so excited to be posting my #PinkTutuVienna blog ā as you know, my travels have been all over the place recently, and Vienna is just the latest stop on my grand adventure.
Youāre probably wondering, āHow did you get here, Emma?ā, and the answer, as ever, is pure magic! Well, okay, not quite. This time, it was a magnificent train journey across the Alps ā truly breathtaking. And I canāt even begin to tell you about the divine croissant I devoured en route, with its delicate flaky layers and just the right amount of buttery sweetness ā it was like a Parisian whisper!
And youāll never guess what! I had the most fantastic, pink experience! I was wearing my newest, frilliest, pinkest tulle creation ā a true statement piece - and you know what? I spotted this absolutely adorable group of Austrian ladies also clad in pink tutus! It seems I wasnāt alone in embracing my inner ballerina and, my word, they had some absolutely killer pink tutus!
Imagine this: cobblestones, ancient buildings, the sun glinting off the Danube River, and me in my glorious pink tutu, sharing a joyful, pink-hued moment with these fantastic ladies!
But before we get too swept away by the pink pink pink, letās get down to the nitty-gritty of this Ć¼ber chic city! Vienna, my lovelies, is a wonderland for lovers of dance and history, culture and beauty, and fashion ā naturally ā especially pink fashion!
Vienna boasts the most beautiful grand ballrooms you ever did see, dating back to the Imperial era ā sigh I can just picture waltzing the night away in a floor-length tulle gown and dancing all night. Honestly, what's not to love? Every day is an adventure, and Vienna really is a city where dreams come true.
Now, speaking of dreams, did you know that December 4th is the anniversary of the first ever recorded public ballet performance? Well, darling, it certainly is, and that means we're having a little celebration. Imagine this: The very first ballet performance was held right here in Vienna on December 4th, 1662 - how's that for a date to remember?! Weāve come a long way since those days, havenāt we, dear readers? From simple steps to spectacular performances in grandiose theatres.
Now, you know Iām not just about the big shows - I live for the smaller things too, the charming details. Iām just dying to try a class at the Vienna State Opera Ballet School. You could even learn ballet in Vienna, just like me. It's something I always dreamt of. The ballet is everything, and the Vienna State Opera Ballet is known throughout the world for its incredible excellence and beautiful dancers - you really should add it to your "to do" list. I certainly will!
I am always seeking out new ballet delights, and while Viennaās historical ballet significance is beyond fascinating, this enchanting city doesnāt just live on its past. Viennaās vibrant theatre scene has such fantastic contemporary shows, and I am, as always, thrilled to have the opportunity to experience it first-hand! Iāve even been fortunate enough to witness an absolutely fabulous show that included a fantastic ensemble of ballerinas, and even ballet street dancers too. Talk about an amazing mix!
I have to admit, Iām completely in awe of Viennaās historic heritage - those majestic buildings with intricate architecture, the beautiful music echoing through the streets (there are street musicians playing in every corner!) ... Vienna truly encapsulates the essence of what I consider elegant and graceful living. Pink tutu, Vienna, whatās not to love!
And letās not forget the shopping! Vienna is heavenly for a fashion enthusiast like myself! Itās brimming with exquisite vintage stores and contemporary boutiques brimming with designer creations that make my heart sing - all I need is my trusty credit card and my shopping bag. And donāt even get me started on the shoe shops! I spent hours trying on delicious pairs of ballet shoes in vibrant shades of pink - a pink-tutu wearing girl never can have too many shoes, darling!
This whole adventure, darling, itās really all about indulging my passion for all things pink and tutu-licious. My days here in Vienna have been filled with breathtaking sights, delicious food (the Sachertorte, darling! ā pure indulgence), and wonderful experiences - Iāve even been on a charming horse-drawn carriage ride, all amidst the beautiful Viennese streets. Isnāt it just heavenly?

- For a *magical experience, visit the Vienna State Opera House. Take a peek inside its beautiful and historic halls, where grand ballet history is written, and, just *imagine, you're wearing a beautiful pink tutu and waltzing gracefully on the stage!
- Indulge your inner gourmand! Vienna is a city of delightful pastries and chocolates ā don't leave without trying Sachertorte!
- Take a stroll through Schƶnbrunn Palace. * It's a stunning *example of Baroque architecture, and pink tutu optional, you must enjoy the beauty of this truly magnificent palace, fit for a princess.
- Get your fashion fix at the Vienna Museum of Applied Arts! * For *pink tutu fashionistas who truly love to *dress up, this is a must-visit - with its incredible collection of clothing, textiles, and jewellery, from history to modern design.
Vienna, my darling Vienna, has left me with so much love for your elegant and inspiring spirit. It truly is a magical place for every ballet lover and, of course, pink tutu fanatic.
