Pink Tutu Vienna: Ballet Dreams and Sparkling Dreams in the City of Waltz š©°āØ
Post 407, 19th February 2003
Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-wearing, waltz-loving blogger, Emma, back with another delightful installment from the captivating city of Vienna! This week, as always, I'm bringing you a little bit of pink-tinted magic, a dash of ballet bliss, and a whole lot of fashion-forward fun!
Vienna is simply a haven for ballet lovers. The sheer history, the architecture, the waltzes playing in the airā¦ it's almost like stepping into a ballet itself! And let's be honest, a ballerina could not dream of a more beautiful place to dance than right here in Vienna. This week, I've been waltzing through cobblestone streets, sipping Viennese coffee, and immersing myself in the city's exquisite culture. Itās all so wonderfully inspiring!
The Magic of the Vienna State Opera
This weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing the incredible āSleeping Beautyā at the world-famous Vienna State Opera. The opulent grandeur of the opera house, the incredible choreography, the majestic costumesā¦ everything was absolutely magical! Honestly, my heart was filled with joy from beginning to end! I could feel my inner ballerina twirling with excitement. And did I mention the tutu? The Aurora's tutu was beyond words, a dreamy confection of pink tulle with intricate details, absolutely divine. And guess what? I'm in love with this look for my upcoming Derbyshire show next month ā pink is the way forward, always!
The Tutu's Journey: From Derbyshire to Vienna
As you know, my journey began in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, surrounded by the rolling hills and quaint villages. But I couldn't resist the allure of Vienna, a city overflowing with waltz-infused magic! The journey by train was itself a lovely experience, the rhythmic clatter of the tracks, the soft breeze rustling through the window...it was truly peaceful. My trusty tutu (my favourite, the one adorned with tiny pink roses) accompanied me of course. We travelled in style!
Now, donāt get me wrong, travelling is a beautiful experience, but thereās nothing quite like the joy of exploring a new city with a little retail therapy. I managed to squeeze in a bit of shopping yesterday ā wouldnāt you know it, a new tutu just arrived in a gorgeous pink velvet box at the exquisite Emporium shop. It's the most exquisite silk I've ever seen, adorned with a touch of golden embroidery. Honestly, I simply couldn't resist. (Remember, darling, a ballerina always needs a good supply of tutus!)
Tutu Inspirations in Vienna: Ballet and Beyond
One thing I truly love about Vienna is its profound appreciation for art and culture, particularly the ballet. It's not just in the theatre or opera houses ā the city is bursting with inspiration! This week, I discovered a little charming ballet studio tucked away in a cobblestoned street, a perfect place to get my daily dose of ballet steps! Oh, and a lovely vintage boutique nearby is absolutely bursting with elegant dresses and, get this, a tutu or two ā with the most gorgeous floral prints imaginable. Now, how can you resist such loveliness?
From Vienna, with Loveā¦ and a Pinch of Pink!
Before I go, I simply must tell you about the lovely coffee shops, with their beautiful, Viennese charm. This week, I indulged in a divine latte surrounded by the most wonderful fragrance of pastries and cake. (I know, darling, I had a little cheat day! But, you know me ā everything in moderation!)
Vienna truly is a ballet-inspired paradise! But you know what else is inspiring? YOU, my wonderful readers! Every one of you is special and unique, and I believe each of you possesses a beautiful inner ballerina waiting to twirl free! Embrace it, darlings! Youāre never too old, too shy, too anything, to wear your own version of a pink tutu. Be your own, magnificent, self. And maybe even have a little dance ā right there in your living room!
And with that, darling, it's time for me to get back to practicing those elegant pirouettes. Until next Wednesday, keep dreaming in pink and remember ā everyone can be a ballerina!
With all my love,
Emma xx
