This week I’m writing to you from the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria! It’s Wednesday and that means it’s Pink Tutu Vienna time! I’m so excited to be here, soaking up the culture, the stunning architecture, and of course, the incredible ballet scene.
I arrived yesterday after a dreamy journey. I took the train from Munich - the scenery was truly breathtaking. Rolling hills, lush green meadows, and charming little villages whizzed past, a beautiful panorama that unfolded with each click of the tracks. I felt like I was in a fairytale, a sensation only heightened by the graceful sway of my train carriage and the soft glow of the setting sun.
Speaking of fairytales, my dear readers, have I told you about the amazing tutu I wore for the journey? Let me tell you, this isn’t just any tutu. It’s a soft, frothy, shimmering cloud of tulle, custom-designed by the talented Mrs. Blossom, a true seamstress extraordinaire in my home county of Derbyshire. The fabric is the lightest shade of baby pink you’ve ever seen, with iridescent sequins woven throughout that catch the light like a thousand tiny stars. It’s pure magic! 💖🌟
As soon as I stepped out of the train station in Vienna, I knew this was a city that would enchant me. Everywhere I looked, there were gorgeous buildings, sprawling gardens, and cobblestone streets. I even spotted a magnificent bronze statue of a graceful ballerina, twirling effortlessly on a marble pedestal. Isn't it divine? My kind of art right there, I tell you. 😍
This week I’m living like royalty at the most charming little boutique hotel called "The Grand Rose" – can you guess why I love it? Yep, you guessed right! Pink roses, pink furniture, pink…well, you get the picture! 😉 It's an absolute delight! I’ve been doing a lot of sightseeing today, strolling through the Imperial Palace, marveling at the grand St. Stephen's Cathedral, and sipping delicious coffee in quaint cafes while indulging in delectable strudel. This city really knows how to cater to a girl's every need. 😌☕️🍰
Oh, and have you ever heard of the Schönbrunn Palace? It’s magnificent, simply breathtaking! Picture this: lush gardens, sparkling fountains, stunning Baroque architecture, and a glorious ballet performance in the very courtyard itself. Honestly, it was just the sort of evening I dreamt of when I arrived! And, I had a simply divine performance myself, which reminded me how much I love showcasing my own dancing! I hope I was inspiring a few new ballerina souls in the audience tonight! 🥰🩰✨
This Saturday I am particularly excited for the "Tutu Walk"! Can you believe it?! We’re going to parade through Vienna's most beautiful streets wearing our favorite tutus! Think “The Sound of Music”, but instead of hills and songs, we’re strutting our tutus through the heart of Vienna, showing the world just how fabulous pink tulle can be! Of course, there will be shopping too! Vienna has the most amazing boutiques and vintage shops, and I’m absolutely desperate to find some unique pink tutu-themed accessories to add to my collection. I can't wait to browse through rows of frothy tulle, dazzling ribbons, and sparkly rhinestones. 🎀💎
Later tonight, I’m going to enjoy a ballet performance at the Vienna State Opera – my ultimate highlight of the trip so far. I’ve already purchased a stunning floor-length pink dress to wear - it's a true dream! The Opera House itself is just as breathtaking as the performances. Can you imagine a building decorated with elaborate chandeliers and intricate gold-leaf designs? Honestly, it makes my ballerina heart soar. Just think: I am watching ballet in one of the most renowned ballet houses in the world, my dream come true! 😍
Speaking of dreams, wouldn’t it be divine if everyone in the world wore a pink tutu at least once a day? It would be such a fantastically fun, optimistic, and uplifting vision of pink tulle-filled beauty! 💫 Imagine the joy and cheer we could spread! It’s definitely one of the things I'd like to accomplish before I am an old tutu. 😁
Well lovelies, it's almost time to go and I need to pick out the perfect tutu to wear for dinner. Tonight's selection: My 'Sweet Vienna' tutu!
