Greetings, my dearest tutu-twirling darlings!
It's Emma here, your favourite pink-clad ballerina, reporting live from the glorious city of Vienna, Austria. I'm finally here, and you've never seen such a beautiful city in your life! It's almost like stepping straight into a Viennese waltz - every cobblestone whispers a melody and the air is thick with the sweet scent of Sachertorte. But enough about the city, let's talk about me! (Because, you know, I'm fabulous.)
As you all know, I live for the ballet and I absolutely love travelling. Combine those two passions, and you get... drumroll ... Emma's Pink Tutu World Tour! (That's a bit dramatic, isn't it? But, you know, I love a bit of drama.)
And Vienna is the perfect spot for this kind of dramatic, tulle-filled adventure! My little feet are just itching to dance through the streets in my pink tutu and tap into the city's rich dance history. (And let me tell you, the Viennese have quite the history with tutus! But more on that later...)
Speaking of dancing, my amazing trip is funded entirely by ballet performances. I've had the chance to perform in some breathtaking venues, including the lovely Derbyshire Theatre where it all began. It's such a fulfilling way to travel, knowing that my passion for dance is bringing me to incredible places around the world!
On the Agenda Today
Vienna is brimming with excitement! And, my loves, this city knows how to treat a girl! It's so elegant, so refined. I feel like I should have been born a princess in this beautiful place!
I'm here in the city until Saturday, and here's how I plan to fill my time (apart from dancing in my pink tutu everywhere I go, obviously!):
- This afternoon: I'm off to the Museum of Art History, to see the fabulous ballet costume collection. I mean, my dear darlings, you simply can't go to Vienna without paying your respects to the historical heritage of the tutu! I'll be scouring for inspiration, trying to picture myself as a delicate swan, a graceful sylph, or maybe even a fiery Spanish dancer. Just imagine me, swirling in the museum halls in a gorgeous pink tutu! The staff might try to stop me, but they haven't met my Pink Tutu Power yet! ;)
- Tonight: Tonight, my sweet darlings, we have tickets to the Vienna State Opera! They are showing Swan Lake - my absolute favourite ballet! It's going to be divine! I'll be making sure to write down all the interesting tidbits of the history of tutus they include! I can't wait!
- Tomorrow: My heart belongs to shopping, so we're hitting up the Vienna boutiques! I'm looking for something very special, to capture the magic of Vienna. We need something perfect to complement the fabulous pink tutu I plan to wear in tonight's ballet. We have our eye on a divine pink cashmere cardigan and a gorgeous black hat with a feather!
- Friday: Now, this is where things get truly magnifique. A special horse-drawn carriage tour through Vienna's Old Town! You simply can't leave Vienna without this elegant experience, right? The carriages look like something straight out of a fairy tale, and with me in my pink tutu, we're sure to be the most charming pair in Vienna!
This is only the beginning!
There is so much more to come, including a ballet performance on Saturday and the Viennese waltz in my gorgeous pink tutu.
