Vienna, Oh Vienna! 🩰

#PinkTutuVienna Blog Post #631

Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new Pink Tutu Vienna adventure! This week, I've been waltzing around Vienna, soaking up the grandeur and charm of this majestic city.

Vienna, the city of music and waltzes, is just the perfect backdrop for my Pink Tutu adventures! And let me tell you, Vienna is truly embracing the pink tutu revolution! Just yesterday, I saw a group of children twirling through the park, each in their own pink tulle glory!

Train Travel with Flair! 🚂

Before we delve into the exciting details, let's talk about my journey to this magical city. It’s a tradition for me, a Pink Tutu staple – I always travel to new destinations by train! The journey from Derbyshire, England to Vienna is always a treat. It's a chance to catch up on my reading, people watch (always good for some outfit inspiration!), and indulge in a cup of Earl Grey tea and a delicious slice of Victoria sponge.

My journey this time was particularly exciting. I travelled in style in the first class carriage, which, in true pink tutu fashion, boasted elegant velvet seats and charming, delicate décor! I found a new favourite on this journey - my journey started at the London Paddington train station. It felt grand and classy with its Victorian architecture.

A Touch of History, A Hint of Pink 👑

As soon as I arrived in Vienna, the enchanting aura of this beautiful city swept me up. My first stop? Naturally, it had to be the Schönbrunn Palace. Built in the 17th century, the grandeur and history of this majestic palace, steeped in royal drama, is beyond anything I could have imagined.

While touring the halls, I caught myself imagining the elegance of past royalty, waltzing in shimmering gowns with pink tutus peeking from underneath! Imagine a ballerina princess – pure magic! (Honestly, it's an idea for a new show! Maybe for my return to Derbyshire? 🤔)

The Palace's sprawling gardens are equally stunning, filled with beautifully manicured lawns and vibrant blooms. There I met a lovely group of locals who, upon seeing my pink tutu, gave me a warm welcome! They even invited me to join their picnics, and we had a delightful afternoon chatting about the latest trends in Vienna and sharing stories about the magic of pink!

A Waltz into Vienna's Artistic Soul 🎼

Vienna is a city of art, so a visit to the MuseumsQuartier was definitely on my agenda. I loved the playful combination of modern and classical art, each piece telling a unique story. One artwork in particular really stood out. It was a modern abstract sculpture, but there was something undeniably tutu-like about its movement! Perhaps it was the soft, billowing forms that reminded me of the flowing tulle, or maybe it was the abstract representation of the graceful movements of a ballerina.

I ended the evening at the Staatsoper, Vienna's renowned opera house. A magical performance of 'The Magic Flute' left me completely captivated, and the dazzling costumes truly sparked my imagination.

Ballet and Fashion Fusion 👗

Now, what is a trip to Vienna without a spot of ballet and shopping! Thankfully, I've had the chance to indulge in both this week. I saw a performance by the Vienna State Ballet, a truly dazzling performance that had me captivated by the effortless grace of the dancers, each move a masterpiece of skill and elegance. Their graceful costumes and the symphony of music had me enthralled, a dream I never wanted to end.

After the performance, I strolled through the enchanting streets, the city aglow with golden streetlamps. And where would a ballerina go in Vienna? To a boutique! It was like a wonderland filled with delicate fabrics and intricate patterns - enough to make my heart flutter. The craftsmanship in the clothes, just like ballet costumes, really reflected the creativity of Viennese fashion.

Pink Tutu Style! 💕

Vienna, like any city in the world, offers unique styles. You can find vintage styles, chic, retro fashion and a plethora of local and international brands. But no matter what, the fashion sense of Vienna's stylish women reflects an elegance and femininity I admire. It really reminds me of the history and art of this city! But don't think for a moment that Vienna’s fashion sense is stuck in a time warp - it is forward-thinking and bold yet traditional, just like Vienna itself.

And as for my own look? I went with a sleek, vintage-inspired look for the week! I picked a bright, pink midi dress and teamed it up with a gorgeous pastel blue knitted cardigan that was covered with sparkling beads. My choice of accessories, as always, was classic and simple! The key piece was my gorgeous ivory handbag with an old-fashioned top handle, perfect for a vintage feel. As always, the star of the show was my pink tutu – a soft, ethereal creation that added a whimsical touch to my whole look! My tutu made every single passer-by stop and take a look and it has always made people smile!

And on one particularly glorious day, I donned a gorgeous scarlet coloured hat, the feather adding a dash of panache and complemented the deep colour beautifully. Of course, I also paired it with my pink tutu to complete the look! It was the perfect touch to celebrate a sunny afternoon!

Sharing Pink Tutu Happiness 🌸

My pink tutu adventures in Vienna have been magical, and the people here are so welcoming, with so much enthusiasm for the pink tutu movement! They really seem to understand the simple joy that a pink tutu can bring. Maybe it's because they're surrounded by beautiful things like the architecture of this city and the melodies that grace Vienna's streets.

Vienna is definitely a city where pink tutus are the perfect addition, a way to embrace a carefree, joyful spirit and sprinkle a little extra sparkle into everyday life. I can't wait to come back and explore this gorgeous city again, sharing pink tutu happiness with everyone I meet!

And don’t forget to check back next Wednesday for another new adventure in Pink Tutu Vienna! 💖
