Vienna, darling! Post 787: A Pink Tutu Adventure in the City of Music 🩰💖

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to Pink Tutu Vienna, your weekly dose of pink perfection straight from the heart of Austria! This week's post is a whirlwind of tutus, trains, and the sheer wonder of Vienna - and believe me, darling, there's a lot to be wondering at here!

Firstly, let's chat trains! I absolutely adore travelling by train. It's such a civilised and charming way to travel. My trip from Derbyshire to Vienna was a delight! The carriage was all plush leather, I had the most divine afternoon tea in the cafe car (a cheeky little slice of Victoria sponge, because, you know, I love all things Victorian) and the scenery whizzed past like a gorgeous, slow-motion ballet. Truly, train journeys should be compulsory for all.

Anyway, darling, here I am in Vienna. The city, it is simply exquisite. I swear the air feels different - crisp, like champagne and Viennese pastries! And the architecture! Oh, darling, it's simply a feast for the eyes - Baroque palaces, charming cafes, even the trams are beautifully ornate.

Let's talk about tutus You can't have a Pink Tutu adventure without talking tutus! I packed my very special pink tutu for Vienna. It's my classic "Vienna Rose" design - a cloud of blush tulle with silver glitter, perfect for a graceful waltz across the cobblestones.

This is going to be a very special week, darling. Vienna is bursting at the seams with all things ballet, so I'll be wearing my "Vienna Rose" with pride, dancing my heart out.

Today, we have "The Nutcracker" at the Vienna State Opera, and I can hardly contain my excitement. Just thinking about the grand sets, the beautiful costumes, the dazzling ballerinas - oh, my dear, my heart is just overflowing with anticipation! My little Pink Tutu plan - to wear my "Vienna Rose" as I explore this majestic city - will come alive tonight at the ballet!

Vienna: Where history waltzes with couture

The history here is so rich and glamorous! Vienna, a haven of emperors, composers, and oh, darling, such exquisite fashion. I adore delving into the history of both fashion and dance. Tomorrow I'll be visiting the Vienna Museum, soaking in the beauty of Vienna's past, imagining those grand balls filled with sparkling gowns, powdered wigs, and of course, an elegant ballet.

Speaking of fashion: I just HAVE to share a little secret: Vienna is a true shopaholic's paradise! The boutiques here are divine, bursting with couture creations and the most heavenly accessories - think chic, modern pieces with just the right touch of Old World glamour. My inner ballerina, she is very pleased indeed. Stay tuned, my lovely readers, because next week I'll be posting about all the wonderful finds I've been scooping up!

Time for a spot of tea

I’ve just found a charming little tea room and I’m enjoying a delicious cuppa with a Viennese Sachertorte. This city has me in love, the beauty, the architecture, the atmosphere… Everything feels so… magical.

I’m planning on returning to Derbyshire, England on June 12th, But until then, I’m living the dream, twirling in a pink tutu in the magical city of Vienna.

Don't forget to visit www.pink-tutu.com and subscribe for a weekly dose of pink and tutus! I’d love to hear what you're thinking. Until next time, darling.

Much love,

Emma 💖🩰
