Vienna Calling! Pink Tutu Adventures in the City of Music 🩰🇦🇹 (Post #808)

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, back with another fabulously frivolous blog post straight from the heart of Vienna!

It's a beautiful autumn morning here in Austria, the leaves are turning into a fiery red and gold, and the crisp air has a certain je ne sais quoi that I simply adore. I'm just back from a lovely horseback ride through the vast Vienna Woods – talk about an enchanting experience! Imagine, me, in my favourite pink tutu (a beautiful blush silk number I found on my travels in Budapest, which was so much fun!), cantering through the foliage with the sun dappling through the trees. Magical, simply magical! And oh, my darling, the views are breathtaking!

Speaking of breathtaking, Vienna itself is simply bursting with beauty. Every corner you turn is a scene from a fairytale! I’ve spent the past few days wandering the grand boulevards, marveling at the exquisite architecture, and breathing in the history of this wonderful city. You wouldn’t believe the amazing old buildings here! And I simply must tell you about the magnificent Vienna State Opera House – I’m off to see “Swan Lake” tonight, how exciting! 🦢 I adore the story, and the costumes, well they’re just magnificent. I even spotted a couple of fab tutus on some of the dancers during rehearsals (shhh! 🤫 don't tell anyone!), so you know I’ll be paying very close attention tonight.

Oh, speaking of tutus, I have a little confession – I just can't resist a trip to the shops here. My trip to Vienna would simply be incomplete without a little indulgence in fashion! Vienna has some divine boutiques – I found some real gems in the 1st District! I simply must tell you about this one little independent shop I stumbled upon – imagine, rows upon rows of the most gorgeous vintage ballet shoes, just waiting for a little TLC. I may or may not have succumbed to a little retail therapy. 🩰 🤫🤫

But my darling, Vienna isn't just about fashion and ballet – it’s also about experiencing the magic of its musical legacy. 🎼 I mean, this is the city of Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, and Haydn! I spent a couple of hours yesterday wandering through the lovely Belvedere Palace gardens and stumbled upon an open-air orchestra playing the most gorgeous melodies! Talk about an enchanting afternoon!

Oh, and did I mention I took a delicious carriage ride through the city centre? 🐴 Imagine me, nestled amongst velvet cushions, sipping on a Viennese coffee (with an added dollop of cream, of course!) as the horses clip-clopped through the cobblestone streets. Talk about a true Viennese experience!

As you know, dear readers, I'm on a mission to spread the love of pink tutus around the world. And you know what? I think Vienna is well on its way to becoming a tutu paradise! The Viennese ladies are so stylish! I saw several lovely ladies rocking their own fabulous pink tutus – not as flamboyant as mine, of course, but pink nonetheless! 💖

The key, my darling, is to embrace your inner ballerina, to twirl with joy and passion, and to always keep your spirits high. It's about living life in a fabulous tutu!

And that's all from your pink tutu correspondent in Vienna! Do check in again next week for more updates from the City of Music – I'm going to be exploring the gorgeous Hofburg Palace and perhaps a visit to the Vienna Ballet Academy is in order. After all, a true tutu enthusiast never gets tired of a little ballet inspiration!

Until next time, darling, stay fabulous!

Much love,

Emma xoxo

P.S. You can keep up with all my tutu adventures on my website: www.pink-tutu.com! And don't forget to leave a comment below and let me know your favourite pink tutu moment!

P.P.S. I'm funding my travels by performing at special events. You can see me perform at the magnificent Derbyshire Performing Arts Centre on Saturday at 7 pm – a delightful mixture of contemporary and classical ballet, all wrapped up in a vibrant pink tutu, of course!
