Pink Tutu Vienna - Post #956: Vienna waltzing with tutus! ๐ฉฐ๐
Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new Pink Tutu Vienna blog post, straight from the heart of Austria! This week has been absolutely fabulous, and I just know you'll love hearing all about it.
So, settle in with a cuppa and some Viennese delights (the strudel here is divine!), and let's take a twirl through my Austrian adventure!
Vienna Calling! ๐ฆ๐น
Vienna โ oh, Vienna! The city of waltzes, coffee and culture โ just what my ballerina heart yearns for. I arrived last week, travelling by train, of course! There's something so romantic about hurtling across Europe on those sleek silver carriages, watching the countryside whizz by. ๐ Plus, I've finally found a use for my amazing, vintage, pink, silk luggage that my Grandma gave me!
Now, I know what you're thinking, and yes, Vienna does have the most fabulous ballet scene! I've been seeing everything from the Vienna State Opera to the Wiener Volksoper. You haven't truly experienced a waltz until you've seen it performed live in Vienna! The passion and grace of the dancers is absolutely breathtaking. I even found time to fit in a few ballet classes โ my flexibility is already improving, I think! ๐
A Tutu Odyssey ๐โจ
But darling, it's not just ballet that has captured my heart in Vienna! The city itself is like a fashion extravaganza! I've been having an absolute blast exploring the streets, discovering hidden boutiques and antique shops filled with gorgeous vintage treasures. Oh, I simply must show you my latest find: a beautiful vintage, pink satin, tiered tutu! (I might even wear it to the opera tonight, what do you think?)
And speaking of tutus, my mission to encourage everyone to wear a pink tutu continues! I've been spotting some delightful ladies in pink tutus, from young girls at the park to even a few older gents enjoying the Viennese coffee culture โ pink tutus truly have no age limit! It brings me so much joy to see my passion spread like wildfire! ๐
More Than Ballet ๐ญโ๏ธ๐ป
However, there's more to Vienna than just ballet, darlings! Last night, I ventured out to a performance at the Burgtheater โ the oldest theatre in Vienna. We saw a production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and it was pure magic! Oh, and the Vienna Philharmonic is just around the corner, which I'm absolutely planning on seeing this week.
Let's not forget the delicious food, either! Coffee shops and cafes abound, serving up delectable cakes, pastries, and, of course, the famous Viennese coffee. (Did you know there are over 100 different types of Viennese coffee? They're all wonderful, though, don't you worry!)
The Heart of Austria
Every single day in Vienna is a dream, darlings! The cobblestone streets, the grand architecture, the beautiful parks, the friendly faces - it's truly enchanting. It's no wonder they say Vienna is the city of dreams. I find myself thinking about how lucky I am to be able to travel and share my love for ballet, fashion and fun with you all.
Oh, I'm also delighted to share with you my favourite new Austrian discovery โ they call it "Apfelstrudel", it's kind of like apple pie but so much more luxurious! Honestly, I might just try to eat it for every meal!
Until next week, darlings! Keep twirling in style and keep those pink tutus on,
With love and pinkness,
Emma x
