Pink Tutu Vienna: #1108 – A Viennese Waltz with a Pink Twist!
Hello lovelies! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Vienna post! This week, I'm whisked away to the heart of Europe, Vienna, the city of music, waltzes, and - you guessed it - stunning architecture that could have been plucked straight from a ballet set.
The air is alive with the music of Mozart and Strauss, and the streets are lined with grand buildings that make you feel like you've stepped into a fairytale. And me, in my vibrant pink tutu, feeling every bit like a fairytale princess!
How I Got Here:
This week's journey began on the Eurostar, whizzing through the English countryside before gliding onto the continent. The feeling of anticipation is always so exciting! The journey continued on a charming overnight train from Germany, waking up to the view of the Austrian Alps, which looked absolutely magical in the morning light. The only thing missing was a magical white stallion to take me through the mountain roads - I’ll have to make a mental note of that for next time!
First Stop - Schönbrunn Palace
As soon as I stepped off the train, I felt the charm of Vienna seep into my very being. And my first stop had to be Schönbrunn Palace, a stunning baroque palace with opulent gardens, a delightful zoo, and a magnificent history. You can feel the history swirling around you, whispering tales of emperors, empresses, and grandeur. They even have a charming theatre in the gardens where they perform operas! I can't wait to catch a show later in the week!
A Tutusaurus Rex - In a Museum!
What could be more charming than a majestic palace? A magnificent museum of Natural History, of course! And Vienna’s natural history museum does not disappoint. However, it wasn't just the dinosaurs and ancient artefacts that grabbed my attention, but also their exquisite collection of historical garments and accessories, including… (you guessed it!) a tutu!
It was a truly breathtaking sight - an old fashioned ballet tutu from the 1800s, crafted from delicate lace and satin, sitting proudly in the museum’s historical section. I just couldn't resist snapping a photo, of course, with my own vibrant pink tutu. It’s like my pink tutu was time-travelling! I felt an instant connection with the elegance and beauty of those times, and a powerful urge to spread that same spirit and love of dance to the world.
Shopping Spree - Vienna in Pink
I would be remiss not to mention my essential Vienna shopping adventure. The city is filled with boutiques overflowing with beautiful, intricate, and incredibly elegant clothes and accessories. As a big fan of vintage fashion, I found myself in a charming little shop overflowing with fabulous, sparkly vintage gems. I just had to snagged this lovely pink sequined top that reminded me of the glitterati of Vienna’s bygone eras. This week, it'll be pairing up with my favourite, most frilly pink tutu.
And let’s be honest, how could I visit Vienna without enjoying some of its exquisite Viennese chocolate? I mean, can you imagine a pink tutu and exquisite chocolate - a truly delightful combination!
An Evening of Waltz
I don’t think any trip to Vienna would be complete without experiencing the magic of a Viennese waltz. And oh, the magic is alive and well at the Vienna State Opera, with its beautiful architecture and performances that truly transported me back to a golden era. It’s the perfect place for a waltz – elegant, grand and filled with grace.
Tonight, my love for pink, my love for dance, and the magic of Vienna intertwine into a beautiful dance of their own. I’ll be there in the audience, enjoying every minute of the music, the emotion, and the sheer beauty of the performers, feeling the passion radiating from the stage.
The Pink Tutu Message:
This trip has brought me back to the essence of Pink Tutu - bringing a bit of sparkle and joy to the world! Whether it's waltzing in Vienna, posing with a tutu-clad dinosaur, or shopping for the perfect pink ensemble, it's all about embracing the joy of life and spreading positivity wherever you go.
Remember, pink isn’t just a colour – it’s an attitude, a feeling, a way of life. And as long as we keep spreading pink around, our world will always be a little brighter, a little more beautiful, a little more exciting, a little more dance-filled!
So, lovelies, how do you bring your own dose of pink magic into your life? Share your stories with me in the comments! And be sure to come back next Wednesday for more Pink Tutu adventures! Until then, twirl with joy and remember, life is a ballet, and we're all starring in it!
