Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-clad traveller, Emma, reporting live from the heart of Vienna, Austria. My dear, this city is absolutely enchanting. I felt like I was stepping onto a grand stage the moment I arrived – and with a fabulous pink tutu, no less! I just had to put on my most extravagant number for this whirlwind adventure, adorned with glittering sequins and layers of tulle. A real fairytale in the making!
A Ballet Odyssey in the City of Dreams
This week, I've been embracing everything that Vienna has to offer: elegant architecture, charming coffee shops (I’m already on my third cappuccino!), and a delightful taste of Viennese waltzes! I couldn't resist seeing a performance at the Vienna State Opera – such an iconic building! The energy of the orchestra and the exquisite performance of the ballet dancers was truly inspiring. There's something about the classic beauty of ballet that makes me feel utterly magical, like I'm stepping into a bygone era. Oh, and let’s not forget the opulent costumes! They were breathtaking. This visit inspired me to dig deeper into the history of ballet here in Vienna. It seems that the city played a crucial role in shaping the world of ballet – just like I'm trying to shape the world to wear pink tutus, ha!
Riding Through History
I couldn’t resist adding a touch of horse-drawn magic to my Vienna experience. This weekend I indulged in a romantic carriage ride through the charming old city streets. As I felt the gentle clip-clop of the horses' hooves against the cobblestones, I was surrounded by the elegant, historic buildings of the city. And don’t get me started on the lush greenery and flower boxes bursting with blooms, truly a picturesque setting for my favourite shade of pink. The perfect backdrop for my tulle-tastic outfits, of course!
From Fashionable Past to a Rosy Future
On a different note, I’m positively in love with Viennese fashion! There are so many lovely boutiques and vintage stores bursting with exquisite garments, ready to add some extra oomph to my tutu collection. And Vienna’s love for classic elegance paired with its youthful, creative energy truly speaks to my style.
I have been experimenting with new ways to incorporate the classic, yet contemporary style of Viennese fashion with the playfulness and romance of my own signature tutu-centric look. Think soft pastels, beautiful lace details, and whimsical floral patterns. I even found a wonderful vintage hat store and have acquired the most delightful feather fascinator. It will be the perfect touch for my next pink tutu ensemble – just imagine it!
Wiener Schnitzel and Pink Champagne
And let's not forget the delicious food! Vienna is a true culinary paradise! My dear, the Wiener Schnitzel here is to die for - crisp and delicious. They even do them pink, which I just had to try, naturally. I'm absolutely smitten with this city and its warmth – not to mention its exquisite pastries and divine desserts! The sweet scent of freshly baked strudel follows me everywhere I go – it's absolutely intoxicating!
A Grand Farewell… For Now
My dear, it’s been an amazing whirlwind here in Vienna. I’ve soaked up the beauty, elegance, and rich culture, and I’ve made some truly beautiful memories, from the majestic opera house to the enchanting carriage rides and those magnificent shops, each offering a touch of magic. I feel utterly inspired and my pink tutu collection has been significantly boosted by some gorgeous new additions! It's truly been a fairytale of a trip and it's time for me to go - but I promise I’ll be back soon!
