Vienna, Vienna, Vienna: A Tutuful Adventure (Blog Post #1155)

Hello lovelies! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Vienna blog post. This week, I'm practically bursting with excitement, because I've been dancing my way through Vienna for the past few days, and let me tell you, it's been a fairytale!

You see, I have a thing for old cities. There's something so enchanting about their cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and charming squares. Vienna ticks all the boxes. From the grand Schönbrunn Palace, to the breathtaking Stephansdom cathedral, and the impressive Hofburg Imperial Palace, it's like stepping back in time.

Speaking of time travel, have you seen the beautiful costumes at the Vienna Opera House? It's a must-see for any ballet enthusiast! You won't just find classic tutus there, oh no. The costumes are just so lavish and intricate, from the historical designs to the modern marvels. And of course, my favourite shade of pink is practically everywhere!

Speaking of tutus, my new pale pink tulle skirt arrived yesterday! Just in time for a day trip to a charming horse-drawn carriage ride through the old city. Picture this: a perfect sunny afternoon, me in my new skirt (paired with my signature pink headband, naturally) cruising along the Vienna streets with the beautiful Baroque buildings lining my path. It felt like I'd stepped into a Viennese ballet performance, with me as the prima ballerina!

And that brings me to another thing I adore about Vienna: its vibrant culture. There are street performances, outdoor ballet classes, even ballet-themed shops! I was completely enchanted by a little ballet-themed store I discovered, selling everything from tiny pink tutu toys to elegant hand-painted ballerina figurines. Honestly, I could've spent hours browsing, but I knew I had to stop myself before I bought the whole shop!

Fashion in the City of Waltz

Of course, no trip to Vienna is complete without indulging in the city's fashionable side. This morning, I was practically floating down Mariahilfer Strasse, Vienna's bustling shopping street. The amount of lovely pink clothing options! I bought the most exquisite pink scarf, a little something something to wear to the Vienna State Opera's gala this evening. Speaking of the State Opera, have you seen the breathtaking performances there? They are so grand! And the orchestra! Just incredible! I even had the pleasure of meeting a ballet dancer from the Opera. She was so nice, she told me to never stop wearing my pink tutu, no matter where I travel to in the world.

I have to mention, I had a real "pinch-me" moment while visiting the famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra's concert hall, the Musikverein. Standing in that hallowed space, surrounded by so much musical history, I felt an overwhelming sense of excitement and inspiration. I imagined the famous waltz music flowing through the hall, with me twirling in my pink tutu, adding my own touch of pink to this grand spectacle!

Onwards to More Tutuful Adventures!

My Vienna adventures have just begun! Next on my list is a visit to the Hofburg Palace to see the Imperial Apartments, where emperors and empresses once resided. You can imagine the incredible ballroom dances, the elegant costume parties, and the historical performances they would have hosted in those rooms. Imagine wearing a majestic pink tutu in a grand imperial ball, and maybe, just maybe, having a waltz with the emperor himself!

The next few days promise to be a whirlwind of ballet performances, shopping trips, and endless opportunities for spreading the pink tutu love! Vienna, you're truly a magical place.

As always, stay tuned for more adventures on the Pink Tutu blog, and remember to follow me on social media! See you next Wednesday for another exciting Pink Tutu journey!

Yours in pink,

Emma
