Hello, darlings!
This week's adventure takes us to the utterly enchanting city of Vienna, Austria! I know, I know - Vienna is just begging to be explored in a pink tutu, isn't it? I just had to pack my brightest one for this trip. You can just picture it - waltzing through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, past grand palaces, under the blooming chestnut trees, tutu twirling and sparkling! Vienna's just so romantic, and you just can't help but feel the waltzing rhythm in the air. The whole city seems to sigh in a long, graceful breath. And just as with Vienna's breath, every corner whispers tales of history and majesty. Oh, the stories this city could tell...
And how wonderful to be here on March 11th, celebrating International Women's Day! A perfect day to explore a city that has given the world such inspiring female figures as Maria Theresa, Marie Antoinette, Clara Schumann, and so many more. And it seems like Vienna's air still vibrates with the energy of those bold women who dared to dream and conquer. How I admire their spirit, their creativity, their elegance...
Vienna: Where the Waltz Began!
This is, of course, the very city where the waltz began! Vienna is the waltzing city - everyone waltzes here! And guess what, you know I'm just itching to join in! How could I resist such a delightful challenge? I simply have to give waltzing a go - my dancing shoes are calling me to a Viennese Waltz lesson, with that sweeping, romantic feeling of pure joy that only Vienna can bring. Can you imagine? Me in my sparkling pink tutu, with a handsome young gentleman in a crisp black suit, lost in a waltzing cloud! I’m sure a Viennese waltz in a pink tutu is a beautiful picture - it makes me so excited!

I've got a few surprises in store this week as well! This post's all about the music, romance, and history of Vienna and ballet. And of course, we’re taking a trip to Vienna State Opera, to soak in the splendour and experience one of the world's most famous ballet companies. I’m feeling a little flutter of excitement, actually - Vienna's got a reputation for making things utterly glamorous, you see...
Speaking of which, we've got a stunning itinerary in store: we’ll be visiting Schönbrunn Palace, wandering through Hofburg Palace, taking a ride in a Fiaker, exploring Vienna State Opera (of course!), The Spanish Riding School, and strolling through The Prater, Austria's largest public park. How exciting, and what fabulous opportunities to snap some pictures with a perfect Parisian background!
Vienna, The City of Horses
And while we’re talking horses... who would have thought that Vienna is the City of Horses too?! I’m delighted to discover that Vienna is the centre of the Lipizzaner breed - I can hardly contain myself! And while in Vienna, we have to explore the Spanish Riding School with their majestic, white Lipizzaner stallions. I already imagine myself arriving in style - a classic Vienna carriage with black horses! Oh, it will be such a dream to experience the Spanish Riding School. These horses are breathtakingly elegant and majestic - they truly represent Vienna's equestrian legacy.
Of course, I wouldn’t be true to my love for ballet without adding a ballet-themed excursion or two to our programme! On Sunday, I plan on attending the Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris performing Swan Lake. I cannot wait - my love for ballet is insatiable. It's no surprise I chose Vienna as this week’s destination; with Vienna being the birthplace of so many celebrated composers - it's music lovers' heaven! **
Pink Tutu and a Horse-Drawn Carriage
Of course, my trip wouldn’t be complete without my beloved pink tutu and a horse-drawn carriage ride! A carriage with a sparkling pink tutu, wouldn't that make a delightful sight in Vienna?! Just imagine! Vienna, horse drawn carriage, sparkling pink tutu... oh, this will be fabulous!
I can see it all now - I'm picture-perfect as I gracefully emerge from the carriage and waltz through the streets. I'll make it my mission to turn Vienna into a city of waltzing and pink tutus, as I go about spreading the joy of ballet in my sparkling pink tutu!
Let's go, ladies! This trip to Vienna is guaranteed to leave you sparkling like the vibrancy of a ballet tutu. And I know this week will be spectacular, because you see - I can't go wrong with the magic of Vienna and my beautiful pink tutu!
