This week has been all about beautiful music, graceful waltzing and the most charming city I’ve ever seen. You know how much I love a good train journey – something about watching the world fly by in my pink tutu just fills me with glee! And what a journey it was to get here; travelling across Europe from the rolling hills of Derbyshire, I could hardly contain myself!
Vienna has been a real treat for my tutu-loving heart. It’s a city overflowing with waltzes, palaces, and more than a sprinkle of historical ballet magic! Even the air here smells like music, with charming coffee shops spilling out onto cobbled streets and classical tunes drifting from open windows.

- Ballet bliss at the Vienna State Opera: I have to start by talking about the opera house! The Vienna State Opera is a masterpiece in itself. From its magnificent architecture to the dazzling performances, it's truly an unforgettable experience. Imagine a grand ballroom, only this time, the magic is spun by ballet! My heart was positively pirouette-ing as I took in the incredible performances by the Vienna State Ballet. The costumes were just divine – I’m especially smitten with a vibrant scarlet gown I saw in "The Nutcracker." It just makes you want to twirl, doesn't it?
- Twirling with history: Let's talk ballet history for a moment! I did some fascinating research and discovered that the ballet tradition in Vienna stretches right back to the 18th century. Imagine! There’s just so much incredible history in every corner of the city!
- Stepping out in my tutu: You can bet your bottom dollar that I took full advantage of Vienna’s charming streets for some delightful photoshoots. Let’s be honest, a city that's as elegant as Vienna is begging for a dash of pink tutu magic! The park across from the opera house was especially picture perfect, with all its vibrant floral arrangements. Think springtime pastels, fluffy blossoms, and a touch of ballet glamour, it was truly tutu-tastic.
- The Schönbrunn Palace: Oh, my! I had to add a little regal grace to my trip. Imagine strolling through the lush gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, with its breathtaking history and elegance! It’s an incredible reminder of Vienna’s glorious past. I swear I could almost hear waltzing melodies drifting through the air. And don’t even get me started on the horses! They’re so graceful and handsome – a sight for any pink tutu lover’s eyes!
