Vienna, My Darling! ๐Ÿฉฐโœจ๐Ÿ’–

Hello lovelies! Welcome back to Pink Tutu Vienna, my weekly dose of pink-tastic adventures from the heart of Austria. Today's post marks a momentous occasion โ€“ number 1505! Can you believe it? We've journeyed through so many gorgeous cities together, discovering the magic of ballet and fashion along the way. And this week, Vienna is dazzling us with its elegant charm and hidden treasures.

My Travels โ€“ By Train and By Horse! ๐Ÿš„๐ŸŽ

Reaching Vienna was a fairytale experience. Leaving Derbyshire on a sunny Sunday morning, I boarded a charming little train at the local station. The carriages were comfy and I snuggled in, feeling so at home amongst my fellow ballet-lovers (yes, I even recognised one from a performance in Manchester last month!). I can't imagine travelling without a tutu though, itโ€™s like a pink aura of magic, brightening up every journey.

My journey to Vienna, however, took a delightful turn. I spent an afternoon with a wonderful horse-riding group, traversing rolling hills and emerald forests. I felt so free, and the wind in my pink tulle felt simply divine. We all had a wonderful time - even the horses seemed to be drawn to the vibrant shade of pink.

The Theatre and The Fashion! ๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ‘

Ah, Vienna โ€“ you know how much I adore a theatre, and this city has them aplenty. I visited the exquisite Theater an der Wien, an 18th-century architectural gem that felt like stepping straight into a play. The ornate gilded decor was mesmerising and the program was fantastic, showcasing a ballet based on Shakespeareโ€™s A Midsummer Night's Dream with choreography that captured the magic of the story. It was pure inspiration!

Speaking of inspiration, let's talk fashion! Vienna has this effortless, elegant style. It's like walking through a dream of soft pastel colours, timeless silhouettes and beautiful details. I was inspired to pick up a new silk scarf that beautifully matched my latest tutu โ€“ think floral patterns, delicate embroidery and of course, a touch of pink.

A Touch of History ๐Ÿ“–

A trip to Vienna wouldn't be complete without delving into its history. This week, I'm obsessed with Vienna's ballet heritage โ€“ it's fascinating to see how dance influenced its architecture, its arts, even its social life. The Hofburg Palace took me back in time, showcasing magnificent costumes, props, and even original tutus from bygone eras. I could imagine myself swirling across the ballroom in a glittering, pink creation, dancing the night away.

I even stumbled upon a hidden gem - a museum showcasing the history of the tutu itself! The early examples were surprisingly simple but the evolution was so interesting. The first "tutues" were simple underskirts, evolving into multi-layered creations that became the glamorous, ethereal costumes we love today. My dream is to see the very first tutu made!

Whatโ€™s Going On In Vienna This Week? ๐Ÿ’ซ

Vienna is abuzz with cultural delights. If you're in town this week, check out these events:

*1. Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Concert: "A Night of Romantic Classics" *

As the week winds down, Vienna is filled with classical melodies as the renowned Philharmonic Orchestra hosts a beautiful night of Romantic classics, with music by Schubert, Strauss, and even a hint of Tchaikovsky. Imagine, a perfect end to your day in Vienna.

2. Contemporary Ballet at the " Tanzquartier Wien"

If you are a modern dance aficionado, you need to see this! The "Tanzquartier Wien" hosts a dazzling program of contemporary dance featuring some of the worldโ€™s most exciting dancers and choreographers.

3. Vienna's Fashion Week: "Spring Fling"

This week sees the start of Vienna's Fashion Week โ€“ a vibrant celebration of all things sartorial! Expect unique designs, runway shows, and even a chance to mingle with fashion influencers! Don't forget to bring your best tutu for a chic street-style snap.

My Tutu Vision - Pink is for EveryBODY! ๐Ÿ’–

Every time I travel, I get more and more passionate about spreading my love for tutus! It's more than just a piece of clothing. Itโ€™s about expressing yourself, feeling empowered, and most importantly, having FUN! This week, I saw a young girl on the streets of Vienna, spinning and twirling in a purple tutu. I had to go over and tell her how awesome she looked! You know what she said? "It makes me feel like I can fly." And that is precisely what a tutu should do - let you fly.

And, my lovelies, Iโ€™m already dreaming of our next adventure! Perhaps a romantic waltz in Paris or a flamenco whirl in Sevilla. Stay tuned next Wednesday for another pinktastic adventure! In the meantime, remember โ€“ always embrace the joy, embrace the pink, and always, always embrace your inner ballerina!

Love,

Emma ๐Ÿ’•
