Vienna has captivated me with its elegance and charm ever since I arrived. Its streets, echoing with classical music, feel like stepping into a waltzing fairytale. It’s almost impossible not to get caught up in the magic of it all!
And you know me - my love affair with ballet never stops. I'm positively smitten with Vienna’s ballet scene. Every evening, it’s a flurry of twirls and leaps as I dart between the beautiful opera house and the opulent theatre. It's quite simply a ballet lover's paradise!
Ballet Under the Sparkling Christmas Tree:
This week, I've been absolutely enchanted by the Christmas Ballet Gala at the Wiener Staatsoper. The twinkling lights and elegant atmosphere, combined with the awe-inspiring talent of the dancers, were like a dream come true. Watching the Sugar Plum Fairy take centre stage beneath the grand chandelier was truly magical, and seeing the joy on everyone's faces as they applauded made my heart sing.
Tutu Tidbits: A Whirlwind of Fashion:
Speaking of ballet, my obsession with tutus is reaching a whole new level in this city. Vienna is home to some of the most exquisite boutiques, each brimming with dazzling dresses and breathtaking gowns. You can say what you like, but nothing beats a full tulle skirt billowing around you as you glide through the cobbled streets. And with Christmas on the horizon, my shopping basket has been overflowing with delicate sequined tops and vibrant silk scarves – all ready for some serious festive outfit planning!

Beyond the world of ballet, I’m diving deep into Viennese history and culture. Every day I’m stumbling upon a hidden gem, from stunning palaces and opulent museums to quirky coffee houses and bustling street markets. Vienna’s history practically bursts from every cobblestone – just think, Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss… they all walked these streets!
Vienna: Where Pink Tutues Flourish:
Vienna has a way of igniting my creative spirit – the architecture, the history, the music – all contribute to an exhilarating sense of beauty. And, of course, the ballet inspires me to create some new dance routines – who knows, I might even sneak in a surprise performance on the streets of Vienna for a lucky passerby!
Travelling in Style (and Pink!)
And how do I get around this magnificent city? By train, of course, but I’ve added a touch of whimsy, a dash of adventure. One glorious sunny morning, I was whisked away in a charming horse-drawn carriage! Just imagine, the rhythmic clip-clop of hooves on cobblestones, the soft breeze gently tugging at my pink tutu, and the breathtaking scenery of Vienna unfolding before me - Pure magic!
