Hello my lovely tutu-ettes!
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another dose of Vienna! As usual, I'm buzzing from a delightful week in this captivating city. This week was a whirlwind of elegant ballet, delightful shopping, and a horse-drawn carriage ride through the most enchanting streets imaginable. Remember to head over to my website, www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday for my latest Vienna adventures.
This week, I decided to channel the whimsical charm of Vienna with a fluffy pink tutu, a delicate white blouse, and a stunning pink-and-white floral head wreath. It's amazing how just the right outfit can transform you into a graceful princess. You wouldn't believe the joy it brought to some children I met at the Hofburg Palace, they loved it!
Speaking of enchantment, I saw the most divine ballet performance on Monday. It was "Swan Lake" at the Vienna State Opera. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Emma, didn't you already see "Swan Lake" in Vienna?" But hear me out. The magic of "Swan Lake" is truly endless, and seeing it at this incredible theatre, the grandeur and artistry was mind-blowing! The dancers were graceful swans, soaring through the air, their costumes shimmering like diamonds. Every move told a story, every whisper of music evoked emotion. You wouldn't believe the feeling you get when you can just be lost in the beauty of it all!
Oh, and before I forget, you must experience the magic of a horse-drawn carriage ride through the old town of Vienna! Just imagine: a leisurely stroll, cobblestone streets, charming cafes, beautiful architecture, and the clip-clop of hooves against the stone. This journey transports you back in time to a bygone era of elegance. It’s an experience every pink tutu wearer must have.
You know, Vienna is so much more than its famous waltz, it's a feast for all the senses. It’s the scent of fresh strudels wafting from bakeries, the sounds of a street musician playing on his violin, and the sights of opulent palaces that make you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. And just you wait, you won't believe what I discovered in one of Vienna’s quirky boutiques...
I happened to stumble upon a vintage tutu shop on a quiet street in the Altstadt. The shop was like a museum, filled with tutus of all shapes, colours and eras. Now, I'm sure some of you are thinking, "Emma, a shop with old tutus, how boring." But you see, it’s like diving into history! There were Victorian-era tutus, with layers upon layers of delicate tulle. Ballet tutus with their rich heritage. I discovered that there was an art to it all and there's a beauty in how tutu designs have evolved through the years, adapting with the fashion of the time. I couldn’t leave without purchasing a lovely vintage tutu in the most delicate shade of pink, of course. What is a pink-loving girl to do?
Now, you know how much I love ballet. My passion for dance fuels my travels and this city offers something special. You must also check out the Vienna State Ballet, its heritage dates back to 1713 and there's so much history behind it! They perform regularly and the repertoire changes all the time. This year, the summer performance season is particularly impressive with renowned choreographers collaborating on unique works.
As we talked about fashion earlier, it is truly a fashion-forward city. Vienna fashion scene is a beautiful mix of vintage charm and modern chic, making it an irresistible shopping paradise for pink tutu-loving girls. Every corner of Vienna holds hidden treasures, from small boutiques tucked away in quaint streets to luxurious designer shops showcasing the latest collections. Oh, the joy of browsing!
But let's face it, nothing compares to the beauty and joy of wearing a pink tutu. In Vienna, where culture and fashion blend seamlessly, my pink tutu felt perfectly at home!
So, my lovely tutu-ettes, are you ready for the most amazing journey to Vienna? Grab your pink tutu, pack your pink suitcase, and prepare to waltz your way through the city of music and dreams!
Love,
Emma xx

Fashion Focus
My outfits in this post are designed to make every ballerina feel comfortable while remaining chic:
The white chiffon tutu in a classic form adds a touch of feminine sophistication to my attire. It creates a beautifully balanced contrast against my other garments. The layers are a beautiful detail that allows me to move gracefully while adding a subtle sense of extravagance to my look.
This white blouse I’m wearing is loose and airy and complements the softness and light weight of the tulle. This design accentuates the tutu’s beauty, while remaining effortless and feminine.
-My stunning pink floral head wreath creates the ultimate whimsical statement, which complements the elegance of the tutu and adds a fresh touch to the look. I love how the blooms cascade across my head creating a captivating contrast to the pure whiteness of the blouse.
