Vienna Waltz: A Pink Tutu Paradise!

#PinkTutuVienna #Post1779 #ViennaWednesday

Bonjour mes chères tutu-lovers! It's Emma here, back from another whirlwind adventure in Vienna, the City of Music and oh-so-many delicious pastries! This week, my trusty tutu has waltzed its way across cobbled streets, dipped into opulent theatres, and even taken a spin on a horse-drawn carriage!

Now, Vienna might be famous for its waltz, but believe me, my pink tutu has its own unique rhythm. I arrived by train, of course – the train journeys are always such a glamorous opportunity to showcase my latest tutu creations (I wore my shimmering tulle confection, trimmed with delicate pink lace, for this trip, if you're asking!) and meet fellow travellers who share my passion for dance and, of course, all things pink.

Vienna is simply overflowing with history, from the stunning Schönbrunn Palace, where I imagine emperors and empresses twirling in the gardens, to the magnificent Hofburg Palace, where I caught a glimpse of the royal ballet company rehearsing – it’s a true feast for a tutu-loving soul!

The highlight of my Viennese waltz, however, was the magnificent ballet performance I witnessed at the Vienna State Opera. Imagine soaring ceilings, glittering chandeliers, and the graceful movements of world-renowned dancers all under the soft glow of the stage lights. I almost swooned – in the best possible way, of course! The music, the costumes, the story, all woven together into a tapestry of pure enchantment.

Of course, my trip wasn't solely dedicated to ballet. Vienna is a haven for fashion, and let me tell you, I haven't indulged like this in ages! The boutiques lining the Graben and Kärntner Strasse, overflowing with delicate silks, soft leathers, and the most intricate lace you’ve ever seen… It was truly a pink tutu-lover's dream come true! I found a breathtaking pink feather boa that's going to be the perfect accessory for my next performance – wait till you see me sashay onto the stage!

The streets themselves are a symphony of beauty. I couldn't resist hopping onto a horse-drawn carriage, feeling the wind whisk my tulle through the air as we clattered across the cobblestones, past the grand architecture and manicured gardens. It was the perfect blend of romanticism and whimsy.

Speaking of romance, a little birdie (I swear I heard her tweeting about a secret engagement ring!) told me that this weekend, there’s a grand waltz ball at the Rathaus, Vienna's City Hall. If you’re ever in the city around this time, I recommend checking it out! Think waltzing the night away in an exquisite gown or tuxedo under the twinkling lights – how magical does that sound?

To top it all off, my visit wouldn't be complete without exploring the city's iconic coffee culture. Sitting in a charming Viennese cafe, with a cup of steaming, frothy coffee and a slice of delicious Sachertorte, the world seemed to melt away, leaving only the comforting sounds of laughter and chatter – and yes, I did bring a tiny pink tutu along for the photo op!

So, until next Wednesday, when I’ll be whisking you away on another adventure (keep your eyes peeled for the exciting announcement coming your way!), remember:

  • Embrace the colour pink – let it brighten your days, and let it inspire you to embrace the beauty and joy in everything!
  • Don’t be afraid to twirl! Life’s too short to stay grounded. Put on a tutu, or your favourite sparkly dress, and twirl with abandon!
  • Travel, explore, discover new adventures. You never know what beautiful experiences lie just around the corner.

Stay sparkly, my friends!

Emma x

P.S. This Wednesday, 2029-06-06, there’s a free ballet demonstration in the Schönbrunn Gardens, hosted by the Vienna State Opera! It’s the perfect opportunity to see world-class dancing in a stunning setting, and trust me, I'll be there snapping photos with my pink tutu! Don't miss it!
