Pink Tutu Time Travels: Post #4295 - November 2018: A Royal Ballet Debut

Hello lovelies! 🩰✨ It’s Emma here, your resident pink tutu-clad time-traveller, back from another exciting escapade! As you all know, I’m on a mission – to get the world wearing pink tutus and share the joy of ballet through time and space.

This month, we’re stepping into the vibrant world of ballet, November 2018 – just imagine, darling! All those tutus shimmering under the lights!

For this trip, I called upon my dear Magic Meg, my magnificent pink-sparkling shire horse with a mane like spun gold. Her golden hooves, I swear, make even the most cobbled of paths a delight to trot on. We're off!

Our journey whisked us to a glittering London, a place that buzzes with ballet excitement! Imagine, my darlings, I saw a preview performance of “Frankenstein” at the Royal Opera House, featuring the stunning Royal Ballet, and their mesmerising dance captivated me.

To say I was utterly delighted is an understatement. Ballet truly has an enchanting quality that shines through the centuries. But enough about my own time travels – let's peek at what else was happening in the wonderful world of dance on this date, November 2018:

*On this date, in the heart of Derbyshire where I’m from… *

A beautiful local production of "The Nutcracker" was charming audiences in Chesterfield, where the magic of ballet was undoubtedly filling hearts with warmth. And even further afield, at the illustrious National Theatre in London, a ballet production of “The Marriage of Figaro” was delighting theatregoers with its dramatic interpretation of this iconic opera.

Imagine my glee! Ballet everywhere! A real testament to its universal appeal!

And speaking of delights...

As I danced through London, I took the chance to explore the bustling, inspiring world of ballet fashion. I found the most delightful shops brimming with tulle, ribbons, and a plethora of elegant fabrics fit for a ballerina’s dreams!

I even stopped to pick up some new shoes! They are gorgeous, a soft rose pink hue and will perfectly complement my newest tutu – a soft peach, you simply must see it!

You see, darling, I’ve decided my love for pink extends beyond the tutu! All things rosy and blushing just scream out to me – you’ll soon see that in my new collection of pink ballerina fashion items – a whole pink, fairytale themed capsule collection. Get excited, darlings, the news is about to drop!

And of course, no adventure is complete without stories...

The memories of November 2018 in the ballet world will stay with me. My leather rucksack on my back is brimming with the stories and treasures I’ve collected! From the shimmering programmes of performances to the sketches of exquisite tutus, every piece tells a captivating story.

Now, as the twilight settles upon this enchanting time travel adventure, I’m left yearning for more ballet wonder. My heart is full, and I already crave the thrill of the next journey!

Until next month, keep those tutus twirling! Don't forget to share your favourite pink tutus and your dance moments on www.pink-tutu.com, and be sure to join me in spreading the love for all things ballet, with pink, of course!

Love, Emma
