Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-tastic travel blogger, Emma, reporting live from the heart of London! I've just arrived, fresh off the train from my little corner of Derbyshire, feeling as perky and pink as a ballerina's dream. The excitement in my heart is doing a grand jeté, fuelled by the prospect of another weekend filled with London's magic. This Friday promises to be utterly divine – a ballet performance at the Royal Opera House, followed by a spot of boutique browsing along Kings Road, and of course, an utterly scrumptious supper in a charming little bistro. Let me tell you, London knows how to paint the town pink!
I always relish the journey from Derbyshire to London by train. It’s like stepping into a Jane Austen novel – plush velvet seats, the gentle sway of the carriage, and the scent of lavender in the air. You know, the sort of thing that gets the creative juices flowing! I’ve already scribbled a whole page of inspiration in my little pink Moleskine, so I’ll definitely be posting some sketches of my next tutu creations soon.
Speaking of tutus… London truly is a tutu-lover's paradise! I mean, come on, darling, it's practically bursting with ballet schools, shops brimming with luxurious fabrics and trims, and the most magical theatre performances imaginable! It's the perfect place to tap into my inner prima ballerina. I’m thinking of a brand-new tutu creation that will embody the grandeur of the London skyline – I can practically see the big red double-decker buses and the twinkling lights of Tower Bridge swirling in its layers of tulle.
Now, about tonight’s treat – a performance of "La Bayadère" at the Royal Opera House! Oh my goodness, it's going to be absolute perfection. "La Bayadère" has always been my favourite – the drama, the romance, the sheer athleticism… it makes my tutu-wearing heart sing. I even got my hands on a beautiful pair of vintage pointe shoes to wear for the occasion. You know, there’s nothing quite like getting glammed up and dancing to your heart's content at the ballet!
But this London trip isn’t all about the stage. The City of Westminster itself is such a thrilling playground for a girl who adores fashion and frills! My Friday schedule includes a pilgrimage to the hallowed halls of Harrods – simply divine, darling! – and I've heard whispers about a gorgeous new boutique in Kensington brimming with Parisian chic. Honestly, there's so much to see and explore in London, it makes my head spin. I've already made a mental list of every cafe, boutique and art gallery that I just have to visit before the week is over.
Let's face it, darling, when you're in London, the only limit is your imagination (and maybe your shoe budget). And let’s be honest, this weekend is all about that perfect blend of the theatrical and the glamorous.
Now, off to get my tutu in perfect condition for my London adventures! Wish me luck and remember to subscribe to Pink Tutu Blog, as I’m sure there will be many more London stories coming your way!
Love, Emma

It's time to share the magical highlights of this delightful Friday!
Royal Ballet Glory
This evening, I danced my way into a world of breathtaking grace at the Royal Opera House, where I witnessed "La Bayadère" come alive on stage. From the stunning costumes to the perfectly executed pirouettes, I felt utterly transported to another world. There's something so magical about being surrounded by the spectacle of a ballet performance, isn't there? The delicate music, the breathtaking choreography, the sheer elegance of it all – simply exquisite! And I have to admit, my little pink tutu looked pretty smashing against the plush red velvet seats of the theatre! I even managed to snap a quick photo of it, which I will share on our Pink Tutu website (www.pink-tutu.com) soon!
Shopping and Savouring
After the performance, a whirlwind of retail therapy beckoned me to the delightful boutiques on Kings Road. You'll never believe the finds I unearthed – a vintage scarf with swirling floral patterns in the most exquisite shades of pink, a bewitching feather boa that'll be perfect for my next tutu masterpiece, and the most divine pair of ballet flats with pearl-studded embellishments! I simply couldn’t resist! Oh, and the most divine cup of Earl Grey tea at a charming little cafe. I simply can't get enough of London's delightful tea rooms!
London’s Buzzing Vibe
The streets of London are bursting with a vibrancy and a sense of adventure that’s truly captivating. From the colourful street performers on Covent Garden's piazza to the rhythmic thrumming of the Tube, London's pulse is a delight to experience. You know, darling, sometimes all you need to do is take in the sounds and the sights of the city and feel a bit of magic welling up inside you!
Coming Up Soon...
Tomorrow, I’m planning on a charming picnic in Kensington Gardens – an absolute haven for those of us who appreciate a touch of green amidst the bustling cityscape. I can already imagine my picnic blanket, covered in a plethora of delicious treats from a quaint little bakery near Hyde Park! I’ve even managed to pick up some stunning pink wildflowers from a local flower shop. What’s more, a visit to the National Gallery is also on the agenda. I love getting lost in the history of art!
