Oh darling, hold onto your tutus! This weekend has been an absolute dream, and I'm so thrilled to share it all with you, my fellow tutu-lovers!
Train to London!
As always, I set off from Derbyshire, feeling the familiar thrill of the train journey. There's just something about being tucked away in a comfy seat, the scenery flashing past the window, and the knowledge that I'm heading to the wonderful world of London!
A Touch of Pink in London Town
London is like a giant playground for a pink-loving ballerina! I'm absolutely besotted with its charming, old-world streets and the feeling of endless possibilities just waiting to be explored. Today I felt inspired by a lovely lavender-hued silk scarf that caught my eye in a vintage shop - just the thing to add a touch of elegance to my usual tutu ensemble. I can just see it now, paired with a deliciously delicate vintage tea dress and my favourite sparkly ballet flats!
On Stage at the Royal Opera House
Tonight's treat? Seeing Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House! My, oh my, it was truly magical. Every step, every swirl of the dancers' tutus - it was pure poetry in motion! Their incredible technique and the story they wove with their dancing were just breath-taking. I swear, the last few steps in the final act left me holding my breath, mesmerized!
Post-Ballet Bliss
Afterward, I indulged in some much-needed post-ballet bliss. There's nothing better than relaxing with a delicious hot chocolate and a yummy pastry at one of London's lovely cafes. Today, I treated myself to a slice of the most divine chocolate cake at a charming little café in Covent Garden - the perfect fuel for a night out!
The Big Ballet-Shop Binge!
Speaking of treats, who could resist a little post-show shopping, right? London is a haven for ballet-lovers, with its countless shops packed with the most exquisite dancewear, tutus of every colour and size, and accessories galore. This Friday night, I just had to treat myself to a pair of beautiful new dance shoes – you just know they're going to make my rehearsals extra fabulous! They even have my lucky shade of pink in the satin, don't you just love it?!
London Lights and Sparkling Dreams
After a wonderful evening of culture, the evening has come to a close. I'm walking home, the night air filled with the warm lights and the energy of this city. It feels like all my dreams could come true right here!
